The UK one with celebrities was pretty damn good. Amanda Barrie smacking Gordo and James Dreyfus was really really funny. Especially his impersonation of
Jean Baptiste. Was it Jean Baptiste back then?

I don't think mixing Gordon with Ghetto Trash Emotional Disease Whores is something he'd want reprseneting himself but then again I can be wrong.
Can't VH1 make a show called, Hell's Love: With Gordon Ramsey. His boot line can be "Come here you little donkey, GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT GET
OUT!"

Ok I was sure with the way the editing was suddenly emphasizing experience that they were trying to pit Petrozza's experience against Christina's lack
of experience (even going so far as to show her mentioning it herself ) so I figured that would sew up the storyline/rationale for the ending of the
season.
Then I read PinotEnvy's post and started thinking. And then I see Fox Reality's plug for re-airing this season and they show the clip of the first challenge where the chefs have to make a signature dish for Chef Ramsey and they show Petrozza's hen in a pumpkin and I was like, oh shit that was Petrozza??? I totally apparently blocked that out of my memory. That coupled with the way they show Petrozza as being dirty and stuff and it comes off as kind of set in his ways. Christina is inexperienced but apparently has a natural talent or else she wouldn't have won so many challenges. Then again them even showing Petrozza in the clip could be a good sign since they thought he was worthy of showing? I guess it comes down to a safe choice with Petrozza where he won't be outstanding or new or anything but won't embarass Chef Ramsey. Or Christina who is newer, more moldable and innovative but could choke or embarrass Gordon. I like them both and have for awhile. He should just hire them both since he modified the job title to a lesser one anyway. And just have them on in future seasons in the place of the no-name sous chefs that "help" on the show now. |

Chef Scott is not exactly no-name; he frequently MC's Challenges on Food Network.

It's been a pretty good season all in all, but the quality of the contests seemed lower overall to me.

When did Gordon modify the job change from executive chef ? He keep saying that is what they are competing for ?

Here's the pattern I've been counting on to ensure Christina wins:
Final Two's in every season: Season 1: Male/Male (Male Winner) Season 2: Female/Female (Female Winner) Season 3: Male/Female (Male Winner) Season 4: Male/Female ( ______ Winner) By my logic with Ramsay rigging the outcome, I'd say Christina wins =) |

At least he isn't trying to rig it color wise or else we'd have a Jen win. |

that it would really be a downer to the average viewer. :"Gee, they sucked so bad this season they can't even hack Exec Chef"...click..... More
than likely though, they probably had simply finished taping all the eps before the decision was made. Anyone know when taping ended?

They taped two seasons at once this time didn't they?
That would leave me to believe they taped this one a LONG time ago since the restaurant is open. |

They taped two seasons at once? How did that work? Did the train wrecks cook in the restaurant on alternate days? Did they share living quarters? I recall Rock
having to clean up last season and there didn't seem to be other people living there.

I think she means they taped 'em back to back. Which I vaguely seem to remember hearing mention of, because of the strike and all. Which I still contend is
why this season's chefs pretty much sucked. I wonder if maybe they had everyone lined up for what will now be season 5, and they got the season 4
contestants from the leftovers of that pool of applicants.[/conjecture]

I read that the tonight is gonna be part one of the finale, and that it'll be stretched out over two weeks. If so, that's bullshit, I was looking
forward to finding out who wins tonight. Anyone know for sure?

Yep. Tonight's Part 1 and next week is Part 2. I think it's been that way before...
