I can't imagine that he would ever yell. When Collichio expedited the steakhouse challenge on TopChef, he never yelled. The closest he came to being rude was when Richard fell behind and he just said "C'mon Richard, I need those; you're killing me."

You know some of them really suck, and some of them are really bitter, meaning the final outcome could be decided before dinner service even happens (although it probably is anyway, so who cares). I guess if you're nice to everyone, it is like the jury of other reality TV shows (if they like you it helps you win, where as a bitter jury can be devastating), except here the jury has to like you AND be competant (which is rare).

So no incentives, except for in season 2, when Virginia told her team that she'd give them each $1000 if she won.
