Why did they even show that? Makes me sick, I won't go to a restaurant for months. I am even less likely to watch the show now because all the
"chefs" are friggin' idiots.

It's called lying, something she wanted others to do as well. Don't think Gordon is going to take kindly to any bullshit from her once he ever finds out about what she's been doing. |

And yet, the blue team magically developed the ability to cook this week when Jen arrived? Okay, maybe you can attribute that to getting rid of Ben.
But what about what happened with the red team? They simultaneously LOST the ability to cook when the only thing that changed for them was losing Jen? Go
figure...

Cassidy666 wrote: Absolutely. Jen is no fricken leader. She lies to cover her tracks and then blames everyone else when something gets fucked up. A real leader takes
responsibility. Jen is just a fucking bitch who thinks her shit don't stink! She may be able to cook but she can't work WITH anyone! She's a
lone ranger and that doesn't work in this sort of situation.

Jen sucks and I blame you all if she wins because I like to blame things on others.

Last night we had some pancetta in our antipasto at a trendy Federal Hill Bistro.
I was poking around in it looking to see if I could find any fingertips! |

Corey hasn't shown any qualities that would make her a good executive chef. At this point, I'd guess the final two are Christina and Bobby the schmuck.
Petrozza is getting the Julia edit- he won't win the show but he wins Gordon's respect.
Far worse things have been served in restaurants than a fingertip. |

^ I am not saying that Corey has, but how exactly has Christina shown herself to be Executive chef material when according to you, Corey has not? Christina is
less of a leader than Corey, no better of a cook, is more emotional than Corey and when messing up freaks out a bit like we saw when she was on desserts and
needed assitance b/c she couldn't do it alone.

Get real people. This is the worst group of chef's I've ever seen on this show. What the hell is going on? Even Julia had a spark of possibility in
her and she was a line cook at a waffle house. Gordon needs to dump them all and start over. Then he needs to come over to my house and talk to me about his
sheep whilst cooking me a lamb shank with his shirt off.

Having just watched HK1 again on DVD, yeah, they were definately ahead of this bunch, particularly the F4. But you know what? People watch this show for the over the top characters, Ramsey screaming at everybody, and the numerous debacles that occur. If you would rank actual cooking skill when it comes to people watching this show, that factor would rank very low. So I and probably many others could really care less that the cooks aren't as good this season. BTW, for all the complaining and longing for cooking skills in prior seasons, let me remind you that it wasn't until episode 9 (Final 3) in season 1 that they actually completed a service. |

That doesn't necessarily mean they're doing better this year. It may just mean that Gordon's not shutting them down as quickly for the fuck-ups
along the way. They could complete service EVERY TIME, eventually, if he let them...

So they just probably snatched up the first people they could find who actually had been a chef at some point in their life. From the preview... supposedly for next week's episode.
I'm not going to spoiler tag this since this is something that has already aired.

I wonder where Louross is. Could he be hiding behind Patrozza?

No.... if you look atthe shadows, louross isn't beside petrozza....
maybe louross was best-of-the-worst and is standing out of frame.... and these three have already stepped forward. or... this is spoilerish, and it's actually a scene from the week after next (ie. louross goes next, and the.... one of bobby, jen and petrozza) which would prove that rosann was really the weak link on the red team. edited to ad.... the above is entirely spec!!! *anyone for the win except the loud-mouth-beeotch!* |

I finally got to watch the latest episode of this today. I am so glad Rosann(sp) is gone, she should have went a long time ago. And as much as I hate/hated
Corey, at this point I would rather see her or anyone win over Jen.
Her attitude and her sore loserness after the challenge thingy was insane. She needs to grow up. Only a little kid or an idiot would be bitching and moaning like that while still in work mode. I was feeling embarrassed for her before, and I felt bad with what she had to deal with, I thought she was somewhat cool. Now I just can't stand her. I hope the spoiler scene is wrong. lol I like Louross. ((And I also love the thread title much!)) |

Many years ago, I happened to be in a position to watch an "open tryout" for a professional baseball team (kinda' like the tryout scene portrayed in the movie "The Rookie" with Dennis Quaid). That day, there were no potential pros (there rarely are) -- it was just a collection of people who mostly hadn't played since high school. Sure, some were better than others, but they were so far below the level of a professional ballplayer that the scouts wouldn't have bothered to ask who was less capable of being a pro player than another. They all stunk and it was a wasted day. HK still holds a sick fascination for me, but from a culinary perspective, they all stink. |

In past years, the winners, at least, have been competent cooks. I don't think we have anybody this season who even reaches that lofty goal... |

I think Petroza could. Maybe that Black GR dude as long as he keeps his mouth shut.
