Alpha was fucking awesome, and I'm getting Spike and Drusilla flashbacks from the final scene.

How cute was it when Victor walked into the office saying "People were fighting on me".

Maybe this is my paranoia, but what if Paul is actually an Active? I assumed that Alpha was smarter than the Dollhouse, but what if it
turns out they are smarter than he is. What if Paul was a plant in the FBI. He would be the goofy "the Dollhouse is real" guy than the other agents
don't take seriously. What if they used Ballard to flush out Alpha? They made him obsessed with Caroline the same way that Alpha is obsessed with Echo.
What if the message from Mellie/November was from Alpha, but the message from Echo during the fight was from the Dollhouse?
Could Paul be an active that Alpha never knew about, perhaps even an active that isn't from the Los Angelos branch but from a different one or even from the main office? All of Paul's & November's actions from the first episode, could they have been an elaborate trap to catch Alpha? |

And here I was thinking Paul was going to actually turn out to be Alpha.
I can see DeWitt recruiting him much like the guy in the episode where Echo went back to college. |

I will be sad if tonight is that last time we get to see the dolls on TV, but it was fun while it lasted!

I have to say, Whedon did a great job of subtly building to this finale. I won't lie and deny that a lot of it has to do with Tudyk
portraying Alpha, but I am overall pumped to see how he decides to close this thing out.
I am in a way however, hoping that it isn't as good as we know it can be... would make cancellation all the more crap-like. |

A review of the episode said this works as a season finale, but not a series finale

Wasn't that with Victor as the playboy Russian giving tantalizing clues to Paul to help him "find" the dollhouse? With November keeping an eye
on him.
My favorite TV writer, Lisa de Moraes, posted the best succinct description of the "14th" episode in her chat today:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2009/05/04/DI2009050402844.html?hpid=discussions Still, I don't understand: obviously, the crap first pilot ep is on the DVD and never been aired. Fine. But what about the make-up ep that Fox wouldn't pay for? Is it a post-finale ep, or an ep that should've been sequenced into the first run somewhere? And will it be on the DVD? |

Am I just really confused or is this episode totally horrible (except of course for the Whiskey reveal)?

okay - someone is going to have to explain to me why he didn't get Echo out of there and why he is now working for them willingly. He spent the
whole season trying to get Caroline. I don't get it.

Poor Victor.
I want to know what Seirra and November were up to after they were programmed to be bounty hunters. Didn't make sense to show that and not follow up on it. Thought it was good, I hope it gets a second season. The Whiskey/Dr. Saunders stuff was great. |

I thought the Whiskey reveal was predictable after the end of last weeks episode, but I thought this was a strong episode anyway. Sad that this will probably
be the end of the series.

christy1018 wrote:Yeah, he did kinda switch gears from the beginning, didn't he? I'm guessing that his obsession with the Dollhouse was so great that he decided that he needs to be a part of it to bring it down someday. I guess he sees Caroline as his major proof that the Dollhouse exists so he decides to play ball with DeWitt. But he needed to set someone free to feel a little complete for now, so I guess he decided that November would be the one. I also think that Boyd has been where Ballard is and that that's how he fell into working at the Dollhouse, too. |
