That was a cool episode. Nice new use for the Dolls. Clever way to basically make it a mystery (of course the hottie son being the killer was obvo). I did like
that Topher got a sweet story. Seeing some shirtless Tahmoh is always appreciated.

In theory, I am not a fan of standalone eps, but that one was really incredible. And am I just on the rag or was it really, really emotional. Between the woman
and Topher's birthday I was misty throughout.
Did anyone else's episode say 'Presented By Direct TV' on the bottom of the screen?!? Could a 'Friday Night Lights' style deal be in the works? Two episodes left.

I actually didn't like last night's episode. The premise was excellent, but I didn't like the execution that much. The murderer was too obvious and
Eliza Dushku's lack of talent was the most apparent its been since the start of the series.

And I fully agree with the statement about the premise in bold, but it just seemed like it was completley wasted on a decent (but nowhere near great) stand alone episode. They just brought someone back from the dead!!! Shouldn't this be a bigger deal!?!!? But to be fair to Dushku, it was a in a lot of ways silly premise that she (and the guest stars) could only do so much with. There have been worse episodes of DH, but this could have and really SHOULD have been much better. |

I actually thought this was Eliza's best episode. The kiss with her 'son' was hilarious.

I really liked the episode, but it was one of the weaker ones. It was so sad to see that Topher had to make himself a friend. I mean just a friend, he did even
make her attracted to him. Hell, when he asked for an active from Ballard he didn't specify man or woman, he just wanted a friend.
My question is: Where was Echo's new handler? She was a woman that went to investigate her own murder. Did anyone think that MAYBE she might be in danger? The scene with Mellie & Paul. Hot and sad. And then more sad. So when they did the search on Mellie's fingerprints and all those records came up, were they aliases that the Dollhouse created for her or was that Mellie actual record prior to her becoming an active? And since they disappeared, would that mean that the Dollhouse is onto Paul? Would they have gotten some sort of an alert that someone was doing a search on November? Season finale images, title & description HERE. Spoilers

Wow, such differing views! I too thought this was actually one of Eliza's best episodes. Liked it all around. Even the FBI guy not being annoying and
giving in to the doll girl even tho he knew she was a doll. Seriously tho, does no one else think that Mellie is totally vacant? She acts like her doll-self
all the time. "Did I fall asleep?" Only signs of life from her were when she fought her attacker and then last week when she went off program with
the message.
As for Topher, I kinda thought whomever he imprinted Sierra with was someone specific to him. Like a friend that he'd lost maybe? Maybe someone that used to work with him? Didn't really matter to him who's body it was in. |

I thought that as well about Topher. Maybe a friend who'd passed away, it seemed like a very young personality to me.

I think those were Mellie's actual identities. She probably got herself into a lot of trouble and that's what brought her to the Dollhouse (or rather that's what brought the Dollhouse to her). I think that everything disappearing was probably because they are onto Paul, I'm guessing they have some sort of tap in the system that gets rid of any evidence if someone tries to gain access to it. I loved the dialogue he had with his former coworker "What just happened?" "I think I just started believing you". |

I thought Topher imprinted Sierra with himself. There was a couple of moments where they made the exact same thing.

That was a really good episode. The scenes with Ballard were just dark and sad. Topher's story was fun and Sierra was amazingly convincing as her
character. The dead woman's story was kind of bittersweet and it was an interesting way to use the imprinting process.

I think if the show had another season that they would definitely delve further into this 'life after death' usage of the Dollhouse technology. In
order for it to work on that function, a person would have to subject themselves to a series of procedures prior to death.
Interestingly, I also happened to watch the pilot episode of Battlestar Galactica: Caprica, which also deals with that issue, except there, the after-death personality is formed not from scans of an existing brain, but from second-hand sources, the informational detritus scattered throughout universe from a person's every day life. The potential scope of this show is just now becoming apparent in these last couple episodes. It really does have the potential to become more than just a sci-fi procedural. What I find kinda odd is that we really haven't seen much of Amy Acker's character overall, and we're near the end. |

I thought the ep was fantastic. I loved it. I'm so disappointed this show won't be given more room to breathe, because all the stuff that looks to
happen next week is going to feel a bit rushed. Especially with Alpha showing up.
