This is almost like Tiger Wood is not allowed to play big golf tournaments, so that other weak players have a chance to win. So what whoever wins it if there's no tough competitors around?
No, it's completely different. First and foremost, TAR is not meant to be a competition, it's a television show. It's all about coming up with the most entertaining final product possible. A race between Rob/Brennan, Tyler/James, Reichen/Chip, etc.-types would be competitive, but it wouldn't be much fun to watch. Nor is it much fun to watch one of those teams crush the more entertaining competition time and time again. The producers realize this, and know how the fans feel about it. After some time has passed, they'll put another alpha male team into the mix, but it's not what people want to see at this point.
That said, I've never understood all the excitement over a female team winning. Would this really be such a huge moment for women of the world? I'd root for a female team to win if I particularly liked them, but I still think the majority of Dustin/Kandice fans just look at them and think, "Hey, they're strong racers and they both have vaginas! Woohoo!" and that's it.
