I was so upset when this went off the air. Great show. I'll miss Mandy and Harris, but it will be fun to revisit it in movie form.

Chris Willis AKA Delores Herbig = my daughter's acting coach and sometimes boss.
Just had to put that out there. Hee. And she's really lovely in RL. |

Anyone use the "as in her big brown eyes" line on her? I would.

Why didn't they just have a new character instead of recasting Daisy?

Test. :)

Daisy, as a character, had too many loose ends to tie up. That's basically the point of the movie, no? I would guess they're gonna delve into the
violent death-past. Remember the woman in the hotel room? Either Daisy or someone Daisy loved was killed by a man violently. I would think it would be her,
but she makes those big claims about dying on the set of Gone with the Wind.

Didn't Daisy died in a fire?

I can't remember exactly what killed her, but I remember it was some type of asphyxiation.

Daisy died by asphyxiation and smoke inhalation in Marietta, Georgia on December 13, 1938, although she repeatedly claims to have died in a fire on the set of Gone with the Wind. She died of a fire. Or something with a flame. |

Yes, that's what she claims. HOWEVER, in a season two episode she reacts very emotionally to the violent death of a woman in a hotel that she observes
from the closet. Anyone who have seen the show as much as I can pick up on her overly sensitive reaction. She claims that she knew someone who died that way
and that she doesn't do that kind of a reap. But I think the story was going to evolve to a point where it came
out that Daisy was killed by an aggressive man, thus making her character (a sex-loving flirt) a kind of juxtaposition against how she died.
I know how she died by what came up on the show, I've seen it more times than any of you likely. My point was that there were more than enough hints that she wasn't telling the complete truth there. |

Wouldn't be the first time she lied.

I've heard that if the movie does well, it might go back to series. Since Mandt Patinkin is free, wonder if he'll be back.

Logic to me would suggest that the writer's strike would keep that from happening. While the movie wont' come up until probably after the strike is
over, wouldn't you think networks would be hesitant to develop NEW scripted shows, preferring rather to lean on things they know they can bank more with?
I dunno...but if this came back to series I would literally...just....God, I would be the happiest person ever. |

The trailer that was posted is just a rough cut. So far it looks good. I'm iffy on the new guy and the new actress playing Daisy.

Oh and Happy Times and Dolores Herbig must be in this movie. I don't recall seeing Dolores in the trailer. If she's not back, it's going to suck.

OK...pardon the name dropping again....*rolleyesatmyself*
but.... My daughter had a coaching session with Chris Willis when she was home for Christmas, and Chris told her that Delores is indeed in the movie. WooHOO! I had to call my daughter and ask, as soon as I saw this thread! Oh, who am I kidding? Any excuse to call the girl! ;) |
