Just saw the show. It was okay. I don't know if the fact that Dan Karate had some of the better choreography of the evening is a testament to how bad the rest of it was, or how he funstions better with more than 2 dancers.

Group routine: It was better than the spoilers said. Was unique, and pretty good.

Salsa: actually a very good routine. Natalli did outdance Nico, but it is her style, so...

Hip-hop (Nat/Miles): Miles messed up BAAAAAAD! The rest of the routine was meh (they really need better hip-hop and ballroom choreographers on this show, since Dmitri and Hunter/Melanie can only do so many routines). Idulforum people fell very bad for Miles, and aren't up in arms at how easy the judges went on him like they were with Natalli (seriously, I love the spoilers that posters on those boards give, but their complete lack of objectivity in everything is hilarious).

Allie solo: It was okay. I'm getting sick of that song though (didn't Katee do her F4 solo to it as well?). I must say Katee, I think, did a better job (it was her only great solo, in my opinion). But at least Allie completed her back walkover (unlike the last time she tried, where she failed with hilarious results). Although, I need to watch again, but I think she still REALLY struggled to do that move.

Miles: Great solo. Really crisp and hard popping.

Nico/Allie Contemporary: It was a really good piece, and very well danced. Allie seemed to actually show mature, genuine emotion. One thing that bugged me is when Stacey said that "she still has a secret to tell him" I KNEW they were going to do a corney "put his hand on my belly to show I'm protect moment" either at the beginning or the end.

Natalli solo: definately one of the best she's done since hitting the top 20 (nothing will ever top her first solo in Toronto): great cape work.

Nico: Ummmm, I guess I can say I appreciate his other solos more now. It was okay. It was Nico.

Miles/Allie: It was corny and cute. Kinda sloppy in places. Pretty frogetable.

Allie/Natalli: I wanted to like it, I really did. One thing I hate about this show is they never give the choreographers citicism, as if it's always the dancers fault. I like Melissa, but the girls were really not given a lot to do. Maybe it's just the style, in which case they should never have had it.

Miles/Nico: Well, the judges totally overpraised this one. It was pretty good, though. I think it was probably better than the Trepak because there weren't huge pauses of no dancing. But the dancing between tricks and "fights" looked really awkward (especially from Nico, who seemed very stiff in those sections). I still hate Paul...

Notes for next year: pleae banish Jean Marc to permanent choegrapher. I love his routines, but his judging sucks. I thought I was being harsh on him at first by calling him inarticulate and vague, but he's gone out of control. Like in the salsa routine (I think it was, since that is his thing), he started talking about technical issues, and he could have elaborated on that, but instead he just shouted more slogans and "clever" sayings.

I want Natalli to win, but since that ain't happenin, I won't mind a Nico win, since I've been subconsiously preparing it for weeks (and he was an early favorite of mine, and he still sorta is). It's not like he sucks, he's just VASTLY overated. But since all the other dancers are overated to a lesser degree, it doesn't bother me as much. I hope Nat gets second, though.

Lisa and Caroline would have killed the go-go routine. Natalie and Allie did not get it. I liked the routine because it was very unique but they needed to show a lot more drama.

I still think Nico has this in the bag.

Why Caroline? Seems like a random pick. I don't know if Lisa would have faired any better. She hasn't pulled of some of her sexy pieces (like the cha-cha, although she nailed jazz-funk). I think this routine was doomed from the start.
