Sorry about the repeat posts, my comments got lost.
I just posted these 2 clips to compare disco and was saying that Vincent had the 70's style down perfectly. Although the lifts were better with Nico. Both Natalli and Arassay were hot and Natalli really got the moves down as well. |

Yeah, I feel that Allie and Nico (early front runners) have plateaued, but the problem is their fans don't realize it (Nico's solos are AMAZING), or
they make excuses (Allie only did bad because she was with Izaak). Well, Natalli did just fine when paired with Izaak.
But you're right, I noticed how much happier and light Natalli seemed tonight. It's such a change from before. Even little things like the little
"kick" at the end of the quickstep show a much more playful side to her. On the other hand, Allie seemed really down tonight. Her face during the
judging, and her crying during rehearsals. What happened?

Just caught the routines on youtube, and I can't say I'm terribly impressed. Maybe it's because I watched some of SYTYCDUS4 earlier this week and I
was reminded of some of its fantastic choreography, but yeah... the judges keep telling Izaak that he needs to pull up when truly, it's the whole show that
needs to pull up. I really hope that they find some better choreographers next year. Why do we need at least 1 American choreographer every week?
Blake's routine was fine, but not great. Luther's hip hop routine brought some heat via song choice, but the choreography was uninspired as usual. Hmm what else.. oh yeah Izaak rocked Jazz but yet again the choreography was mediocre. The disco was alright but wasn't as entertaining as Vincent and Arrassay's. The quickstep was fine, I guess. What do you get when you combine bad dancing and bad choreography? This week's CHA CHA!! *bada-psshhh* Hmm what else.. I'm bored just thinking about the routines.. yeah I can't remember the others. Anyways Izaak was good this week. So was Natalli, who has totally proved herself throughout the show. There's still something a little bit off about her personality, though. Every so often, I think "who IS Natalli?" To quote Tre, she needs to learn how to "keep it real." A few other notes: I rewatched Izaak and Arrassay's lindy hop routine from last week, and I actually liked it more this time. They both danced it well. It was really uncool of Mia to diss Izaak for not giving enough after that routine. As much as I love Mia's choreography, she's remains inconsistent as a judge. Last but not least, kudos to Nico for choosing Reckoner by Radiohead as his solo song. It wasn't a very good solo, but it's an amazing song, and it could have been an awesome moment if he had done it justice.

I, actually, liked most of the routines tonight with the exception of the Allie/Izaak hip-hop. I didn't really like the pairings (Izaak, I maintain, is
a crappy dancer who brings down his partners and Lisa is manly, and I never really like watching her dance.) but I found the choreography fun and the dancing
above par. Oh well.
I think it was just the luck of the draw that whoever was with Izaak would be the one girl to not be proclaimed essential for the final 4. If Lisa or Natalli had danced with him, and Allie had danced with Nico/Miles, the judges would have ignored another girl and put Allie in their top 4. I felt bad for her... all along she was one of the best girls, and now all of a sudden she's forgotten. Well not by me. I voted for her (& Miles, as usual) like crazy last night. Now I just hope she stays. |

Roadblocker that one note you keep hitting is flat.
It is nice to see the DIVERSITY in this competition actually. 1 BC, 2 Albertans, 2 Onts and 1 Q'r. And Lisa has only had one really good week and that was last week, so she can go and so can Isaak. |

Lol, I love how almost everyone disagrees on this board. Anyway, I'll give Allie leeway with the jazz, since she really had to partner with Izaac, but with
hip-hop, I think it's safe to say that that just isn't her thing, whether it be with Izaak or Danny.
Personally, Lisa has really grown on me, and in retrospect, she's actually had a lot of the better routines this season (afro jazz, contemporary, house, jazz-funk). Her samba would also have been one of the great ones had it not been for the screw up, since they were really doing well until then (and that choreography was pretty hard). Allie has peaked for me. In fact, in retrospect, she just hasn't been that great this season. Her jive and mambo were not that good. Her contemporary was good, but very overated because of the story involved (and the choreography was weak). Her samba wasn't great, and Izaak ruined her jazz this week. Her only memorable routines have been quickstep and afro jazz. I know I may sound overly dismissive of her efforts, but if I had to watch all the partner routines of any of the three girls left, Allie would be last on my list.

Since the 3 guys left are all likeable, I predict Izaak will finally go. Of the girls, they can all dance. I think Allie is safe because she is nicest. I
predict Natalie will go because she comes across as distant in the pimping.

As much as I love Allie, I agree she has kind of plateaued (I never liked Nico so in my eyes he hasn't "plateaued" lol). I don't really care
though, she is still my fav girl <3
It's funny how when this season started I was super excited and was all like ZOMG ALLIE FTW and now I am just like, yeah, whatever. I still love Allie, but I would be okay with her leaving at final 6 (just like fellow ballerina Vanessa in SYTYCD AUS <333) I think the disappearance of my interest in this show is due to the inevitability of a Nico win. I am thinking of the past few seasons of SYTYCD, and has there been a season where the winner was so painfully obvious? Last season, I really thought it was going to be a Josh/Twitch/Katee showdown (Courtney was never a factor, sadly), and then before, the Danny/Sabra/Neil/Lacey final 4 could have gone either way, I thought. Even in SYTYCD Australia there was at least a showdown between Jack and Rhys. Here, it's just... Nico. |

In Season 4, I knew Josh would win from week 2-3. I felt very strongly about his chances. So many people, in the beginning, predicted Mark or Katee to win, and
I really wondered why, since until Josh/Katee's contemporary, or rather until their waltz, Katee was always in Josh's shadow. And Mark... was quirky,
but I just didn't see him winning ( I wanted him the finals, though). Twitch's annoying popularity scared me towards the end (I liked him until I saw
how much he seemed to be buying, and encouraging, his own pimping), but I always thought Josh would pull through.
Season 2, I didn't pay attention for the first few weeks (the auditions, since I was still getting into the show). I saw top 20 week, and then top 16, and I figured Benji would win at top 12. Travis was a factor. I always knew it was between the two of them. The only "surprise" season was season 3. Who the fuck would have predicted Sabra (she had no audition footage, and a meh first routine)? I always thought it would be Danny or Lacey. Even as the weeks went on, and I started to like Sabra more, I didn't think she'd win. Maybe at top 10, I thought she had a shot (especially after Mia said she was the favorite), and especially after the jazz routine. But still, she was not the front runner in my book. The other two winners were NEVER in the bottom, so they were easy to predict. |

I voted for Lisa 15 times and for Miles 15 times. But I think Miles is going home. |

I do not agree that Lisa has only had one good week. Lisa has been one of the strongest, most versatile dancers since day 1, and the only time she didn't
wow me was at Top 10 when she was forced to dance a boring contemporary routine with Mr. Overrated-in-pretty-much-everything-except-for-his-solos Miles.
Allie's popularity has always intrigued me to a certain degree. Allie seems nice, and she is talented as well, but she was a lot of people's favourite when the Top 20 started. WHY?! She reminds me of Kherington in some ways -- one of the "chosen ones," good looking, vanilla, totally pimped from the start, showered with compliments, and then gets a little bit of criticism in Top 10 and she cries and looks like she wants to quit. I'm a heartless bastard, I know, but it's really weird seeing Izaak getting dumped on when he OUTperformed Allie in the Jazz, and all people can say is "poor cute girl cried during rehearsals because she couldn't pick up the choreography in 5 minutes....LET'S BLAME IZAAK!" Once again though, she does seem like a nice girl, and her Top 10 was awesome (probably her shining moment). Oh and last but not least, don't blame the dancers for having mediocre weeks when they have been given weak choreography to work with (which is almost always, on this show). Ok I'm done. |

Allie is popular because she has this image of being a dainty bubbly ballerina, and when people saw she did well in Luther's hip-hop choreography in
Toronto, people all of a sudden had the impression of "cute dainty ballerina who can tranform into sexy woman", which is an easy image to root for.
People continued to believe that image by listening to the overpraising of her mambo and jive. Unfortunately, the weeks have shown that Allie's image is
only half right, but momentum has not slowed down fast enough to result in her elimination. BTW, you mean her top 10 solo, right?
It's like Nico's "bad boy with a heart of gold" image. I actually like Allie, though, and I HATED Kherington. She got like a 15 minute package for her audition footage, and her audition fucking sucked. Then she gets paired with Twitch, and no one dares criticize her, despite her obvious lack of talent. I am so glad people saw how much she sucked at top 10. There's some idiot on youtube who proclaims her top 12 solo as one of the best in the history of the show. UGHHH! Also, someone said one of the routines yesterday was one of his favorites, along with Twitch and Kherington's hip-hop in week 3. I forget where I read it, but I remember the disbelief. I did find this comment concerning Natalli and Nico's disco: Someone's clearly bitter about who left last week.

I wanted to be a ballet dancer but circumstances wouldn't allow. Too bad -- I'm small and disciplined.
All forms of dance are beautiful in their own way as long as the choreography is good (yeah, I know -- subjective, subjective, subjective). |

To be honest, as long as the dancer is good their talent level in comparison doesn't matter to me. They're all very talented in their own ways; each
have their pluses and minuses (except for Izaak, who is still IMO not at a similar level of dancing ability) but the thing that makes me vote for someone is
their personality, their stage-presence... the way they sparkle on stage. It is a reality entertainment show, therefore I should be entertained.
Either way, that's why I vote for Allie. And Miles. I agree though that the winner has been insanely obvious from the beginning... the only comparison I can think of is Benji in SYTYCD2. It was kind of obvious that he would win; all funny and goofy, not too overpraised, and he was never in the bottom 2... people just eat that shit up. |
