Only Lacey/Kameron survived! (I don't know about season 1, though... was he a kiss of death then?). Wait I just checked, and he caused Snow and Ryan to be in the bottom, where Snow was eliminated! He also did a routine in the final week (which Nick and Jamile danced in), but everyone's in the bottom 4 then so it doesn't count). So, 1/5 couples have survived B3 with his choreography... The bobble is nothing really (and you can't really see it on low quality you tube), it's just her feet shake a bit from when they touch the ground after he spins her around really quickly. It's not even really a flaw, just something to notice. Maybe I'm just crazy...

Posts: 1261 (10/23/08 8:19 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Tango: 3/9 Ouch, not too great either...(although some of those data might be a bit skewed because these include double-routine nights, so maybe one dance was great and the other not, but still) By comparison, Viennese Waltz: 5/7 (pretty impressive!) And one of the 2 failed waltzes that did land the pair in bottom 3/2 was Jaimie/Dominic's dreadful Viennese ~~paso doble~~ waltz, which shouldn't even count because the choreography was so bad. The smooth waltz kinda sucks though: 3/8. Blech. Which proves that statistically, of the 5 International standard dances, the true kiss of death are the tango, the foxtrot, and even the smooth waltz, not the quickstep. :p

Only because it does not lend itself well to exacting choreography and showing unison of movement. It's cool to watch someone who is great at it, but it blows seeing 2 people trying to struggle with the steps and moves together. I watched Pasha and Sabra, Thayne and Chelsea, Jessica and Will's compared to Dan and Allie's quicksteps, without music. Pasha and Sabra's was probably better performed, but Dan and Allies had near perfect form from what I have learned about the quickstep. Just watch their feet, they are the only couple that stays very close, their feet hit the floor in perfect unison. And the big thing is Allie leaning back and they both keep their arms up and in perfect position. I don't know about the best in history, Jean Marc would have a better idea though. But as I have always supported, this show isn't about the best dancing, it is about personalities and performance. The quickstep is stiff and it isn't as popular as other ballroom dances. There won't be any chance of them going home, even if they end up bottom 3. liltimmy, you are right that they weren't huge slips for Natali. But honestly those were the only missteps I noticed all night. I think bottom 3 will be: Isaak and Kaitlyn- c'mon, they better be this time Jesse and Caroline- why would it change now Lara and Miles- I think the krump might bring them here. Isaak and Kaitlyn to go (but my heart would be Lara and Isaak) I really do not think that Joey and Tamina deserve to be bottom 3 this week. But if they do get in bottom, I think Tamina might be in trouble, depending on the solos.

Still, if Lara and Miles weren't in bottom 3 in previous weeks, then I am sure those abs won't hurt. And I have to say, Tamina and Joey's hip hop wasn't that good. To me, the fact that the judges were all like ZOMG WOW just shows how low their expectations for Tamina and Joey are.

I've missed the beginnings of the preformance shows...(maybe I should try to see them...), it's just so awful I can't turn away! It's really hard to predict the B3 this week. Lara/Miles got a krump and they went first, but Miles was shirtless. Izaak/Kaitlyn were meh, but they have survived meh routines before, and they had Benji choreograph for them this week. Lisa/Vincent were great, but they were last week and yet they still ended up in the B3 (although that probably means their fans voted extra hard for them). Danny/Allie were great, but it was a quickstep, Francis/Natalli were great, but they aren't super popular. Joey/Tamina were okay (seriously, the only thing impressive about it was that it didn't suck, and that Joey got into character), and they've survived much worse than that, but maybe now their fans will vote more lightly for them, Arrassey Nico were great... and probably safe, and Jessie Caroline were pretty average, but they went last, and they were B3 last week, so people might vote more for them. Really it's a crapshoot. But I think Lisa/Vincent, Nico/Arrassey, and Danny/Allie (I hate those name fusions too) are for sure safe. The rest should be ready to dance.

I can't seem to get his name right no matter what. I thought that was an 'intense' outfit that Lisa was wearing when she was intro'd last night, and that picture from CTV site just accentuates its strangeness. I think I can tell her religion through those pants! (the pic looks like she has a penis, and given her body and voice... just saying.)

And I've always thought Lisa sounded like a man. I remember when her and Joey were partnered for the fox trot, and Joey was explaining how hard it was to pretend to be in love, I thought it was still Joey talking when Lisa starting to comment on the situation, and I was shocked to see that voice come from a girl.

But she lays in a pile of colored handkerchiefs and doesnt use the floor. Isaak, seems connected to the music, but hardly moves from his spot on stage. Kaitlyn is beautiful in her moves, but they are not difficult and she doesn't move around a great deal either. I think because Tamina is a bit different, she should stay and Kaitlyn should go, and it is a toss between Isaak and Joey, but I think Joey's was a better solo
