Freitag was on an Iron Chef not too long ago, she went up against Bobby Flay, she never shut up the entire episode, drove me up a wall. I kept hoping that
maybe they would have a woman that could win this season because I'd like to see Cat Cora leave (she never seems to win anyway) but I'm not seeing it.
If memory serves me the only one of the current contestants that's on that has won on Iron Chef is Garces (who beat Flay)

And Crenn and Farmerie. MMmmmmm. If Freitag won, I would not be happy. I like her, just feel it would be redundant. It would be much like if Dan had won Design

I like Chefs Trevino & Garces...they both come across as the only ones who gives heartfelt compliments to others & enjoy the spirit of the competition.
I think this crop of contestants seem to be concentrating more on "strategy" rather than letting their food speak for itself.
I like the warm camaraderie & mutual respect from last season's competition...this year it's too conniving. |

Have not seen it all yet; but I adore Chef Garces. He just does really interesting things, and takes some huge risks.

wow that was kind of a shocking episode. Farmerie was one of the best IMO from past performance. Don't understand why the take-out chef did so well,
considering how he came across liek such an idiot. Glad that Crenn lived, but why only have three females in the running? Does critic Jeffrey seem like an
idiot to anyone else? I dont trust his opinion as far as I can throw him...which isn't very far. Take out chef is annoying, I want him out next...but god
damn, I liked appleman at first...but when did he turn into such a fucking douchebag this episode? I don't like him anymore.

He seems like an old curmudgeon who has been lucky enough to have rich children taking him to nice restaurants and ONCE in a while, in his wild murmurings,
gives a critique that makes sense. I half expect him to fart or unbutton his pants after he eats.

I was surprised at the outcome. The take-out guy may have had something creatively out-of-the-box, but it seemed evident that most of his food was not good at
all.
I know creativity should win you some points but it shouldn't outweigh serving bad food. |

i watch iron chef for visionary-ness, so it doesn't matter if its bad food as long as the concept is great. which it was.

I would never eat anything prepared by take-out guy. I was very disturbed by the fact that he kept putting cooking utensils and pots on the floor. Ew.
