I was thinking last night what a brat the young guy is... the one with longish hair. He acted like a four-year-old when they were debating the bottom two...

I cook pretty healthy at home - still use butter and salt and whatnot but not too much. But when I go out, I don't really care what's in it. I mean
unless you're eating out every night of the week, shouldn't really matter too much. I sorta expect dining out to be more extravagant than what I'd
cook for myself (though I'm not a huge fan of "heavier" dishes no matter what).
But seriously how gross was all the sweat dripping from them when they were preparing their desserts (I think we're a week behind in Canada). I'm sure a fair few of those dishes got sweater on. YUCK. |

I was glad to see Kayson go, but I felt bad for Meru. I thought Costino was gone for sure.
I like this show more than I ever thought I would. I have come to like Alton although I hated him at first. The two male judges are such snobbish looking pricks. I hate them. |

I hate the dark haired judge, most because he has a hard on for Sanchez, whom I love.

I love Sanchez, too. And the longer haired judge's reaction to him just seemed third grade.

If Costentino gets this bent outta shape about the cameramen here, no way can he handle Kitchen Stadium. He's gone.

They tricked us. They did that little Kia spot featuring one of the chefs, and we all th ought Constentino was going home.
Anyway, poor Sanchez he looks so sad and defeated. |

ew, he left the soggy skin on the fish.
All through the show I was saying to my wife "hasn't Costentino even SEEN Iron chef? It's the cameraman's JOB to get in his face and shoot what he's cooking!" There is no possible way for him to win. Symon is 3 in a row now right? Besh better get this act together. who IS that whiny immature elitist pretty boy judge? What an ass. |

who IS that whiny immature elitist pretty boy judge? What an ass Perfect description of him (Andrew Knowlton) The other male judge Michael Ruhlman looks like and elitist professor type who is always smelling something bad. The female judge Donatella is by far the best. (& of course Alton) |

As far as I can tell Iron Chef Soul Patch has this competition locked up.

From Michael Ruhlman's blog comes an explanation about the camera crew - from Cosentino himself:
email from Cosentino just now, which i hope he doesn't mind my sharing: sorry for the crudite. thanks for defending me with the camera guys. these guys were german and not understanding of space, every time i moved my elbows touched someone. i thought i was going to hurt myself. also i found out later that eytan with this ear piece was telling the camera guys to get closer to me. In kitchen stadium they understand the dangers of being to close and they want you to succeed, in this episode all they wanted was the shot. that is why i got hostile. i told them from the beginning to give me space since the kitchen configuration was really bad, we had a very small pass way to get to equipment (like bowls, pans)and they were always blocking it and wouldn't move when we asked them . thats when the hostility came. now that 1/2 the country thinks i and a asshole as some one put it in another blog, life goes on. |

The judging is by far the worst part of this show. These people act as if they're eating day-old dog shit. I like the interactions between Besh and
Symon; it's fun to watch them kid around with each other. Loved it when Besh ran past the opening door to the side (when they were delivering the carts),
and when he came back he was smiling like a goofball. I really thought Cosentino was going to go last night after all his bitching at the camera people.

Salt is not only a seasoning, it's also vital to proper health. Salt is especially important if you do a lot of physical activity, as it's needed for
proper electrolyte balance. Every year a number a people die from hypoatremia , a dangerous condition that arises from drinking too much water without
replacing electrolytes lost from sweating. Salt in moderation can be a very good thing for your health.

Anyone else think that the judging would have been better if some of the regular ICA judges had been brought in? Maybe guest one for each show?
ps Michael Symon rocks! |

I would love to see Jeffery Steingarten as a guest judge. Just no Ted Allen, please. Michael Ruhlman is a friend of Anthony Bourdain's and has been on his show No Reservations a few times. I like his comments, unlike the little prick who hates Aaron Sanchez. |

Ruhlman is also friends with Symon. They're both from Cleveland and Ruhlman wrote quite a bit about Symon in his book "The Soul of a Chef".
I'm surprised the Food Network didn't recluse him from judging for that reason.

And NO ONE from Food Network is a judge either? Unlike NFNS where 2 out of 3 judges work for the network? What's up with that?
I would love to see Jeffery Steingarten as a guest judge.EXACTLY! Jeffery is the Alpha and Omega of ICA judges. It is only fair he should have some kind of input as to who the next IC will be. |

Did I see that correctly...that tonight is the finale?
Was watching the repeat of last Sunday's ep last night and it had the little blurb in the corner "Finale Sunday at 8pm". I better check my listings. |
