I remember anyone mentioning anything about 007 in season 1 and season 4.

I think that maybe George mentioned it when he was trying to convince Cristina to let him do the first solo surgery. He may have said something like
"I'm not 007 anymore." But that's the only possible reference.

Prior to the finale, when was the last time anyone actually called George 007?I think Alex calls him that a lot. One of Alex's many "George is a screw up" nicnames for him....I think they've used it enough that it seemed logical to me that George used that to signal Mer. But I tend to think pertty illogically many a times, so it could be just me... |

Even if they never discussed 007 from Episode 1 on, it would still be logical for George to do it. It's a nickname he has and Meredith would remember it,
she was the only one defending him in that surgery in the first episode. Much easier to do that than try to write out Bambi or George.

They definitely seemed to be indicating that George had already died and Izzy was going to live in that final elevator scene.
I hope they start the new season with George stepping aside to let Izzy out and then stepping into the elevator himself, or just grabbing Izzy by the hand and hauling her out. I don't really care if George lives, but I really want Izzy dead. |

So I just watched the finale for the first time yesterday... I'm not sure how I feel about it. I HATED the cliffhanger ending. I just want to know if Izzie
and George died already!!! I feel like there's no way for George to recover from that and still be a character on the show so I feel confident saying that
he's dead/off the show. Or else he'd be permanently disfigured.... I felt like that was a terrible way to George to leave the show though. Why
couldn't they have just let him head off to the army? Whatever. With Izzie, I feel like there's a chance for her to survive... I don't know if I
want her to though.

I hope the premiere picks up right where the finale left off. No matter what happens in terms of who lives and who dies, I'd kinda like to see the
reactions of the other characters (Bailey, Yang, Alex & the Chief finding out that John Doe is George/Meredith, Shepard and the others finding out about
Izzy crashing). I'll be disappointed if the premiere opens days later at a funeral or some shit like that.

JoeJoeJunior wrote: Agreed. I really think George is dead and Izzie is hanging on the edge (in the elevator) and that she will survive so she can wake up and freak out asking if George is dead, as everyone stands around her with funny looks wondering how she knew and then she tells them George was there waiting for her. Then next season will be Alex helping Izzie through rehab and, of course, the obligatory fight between the two of them because Izzie will be mad that he ignored her DNR. Or Izzie will be brought back and then die an episode or two into next season, after she fights with Alex about him ignoring her DNR so that when she flat lines the next time, they all just let her go. It was a decent finale. The best parts for me were the Yang/Hunt scenes. My faves on the show. I am really growing to like Calzona a lot, too. Love Eric & Little Grey, just not together. Hope they stay broken up. Hated Alex in the first couple of seasons, but I am really liking him now. |

KATHERINE Heigl has hit another stumbling block on her way to movie stardom. Sources say the actress, whose just-concluded season on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" might have been her last, was dropped from a top-tier ensemble cast in the upcoming romantic comedy "Valentine's Day" because she demanded an astronomical salary. The flick, which is scheduled to be released in February 2011, is directed by Garry Marshall and has signed such big names as Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Shirley MacLaine and Bradley Cooper. An insider told Page Six, "Producers at New Line originally had Katherine on their casting list. They wanted her for the project, but during the talks, she came back demanding $3 million for the role." Our source calls that number "ridiculous" because the movie has "an ensemble cast where there is really no one lead role. Actors are only filming between three and 14 days, and no other actors asked for nearly that amount." A rep for Heigl told Page Six, "The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from this project for multiple reasons." A spokeswoman for New Line had "no comment." It's not the first time Heigl has come across as a diva. In 2007, after "Knocked Up," she told Vanity Fair the Judd Apatow-directed movie "paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. I had a hard time with it on some days." She also caused a commotion when she withdrew her name from consideration for last year's Emmy race, slighting the "Grey's Anatomy"
writers by saying, "I do not feel I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination." Heigl, whose character was dying of brain cancer,
did enter herself in this year's awards nominations.

^^^Sweet justice for Heigl and Knight would be to be dropped from the show after only a couple of episodes next season. And then be brought back
intermittently as ghosts.

Uhhhhm.... with an ensemble cast like THAT, I don't blame her for asking for 3 mil. You know that Julia Roberts and Shirley MacLaine are getting more than
3 mil no matter what the article says... Anne Hathaway probably is, too.

T.R. Knight: A Grey's Anatomy Goner ABC/ERIC MCCANDLESS
Dr. George O'Malley is dead. Multiple sources tell me that T.R. Knight will not be returning to Grey's Anatomy next season. Knight's departure shouldn't come as too much of a shock... Not only was George flatlining at the end of the season finale earlier this month, but the 36-year-old actor has reportedly wanted off the hit ABC series for quite some time. I'm told that tension between Knight and show creator Shonda Rhimes has become unbearable for both. Knight, an original member of the Grey's cast, was said to have become increasingly frustrated by his character's lack of storyline and camera face time. In December, he asked to be let out of his contract. Insiders tell me Knight has made no secret that he wants off the show. No word on any future projects for Knight, but at least now he's free to pursue other things. Reps for Knight and ABC declined to comment. Knight's best buddy Katherine Heigl is supposedly still waiting to learn her fate with Seattle Grace. As I was the first to report last July, Rhimes began contemplating an early death for Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens after Heigl took herself out of the running for last year's Emmys because, she complained, the writers failed to give her good enough material to work with. Like George, Izzie was also flatlining at the end of the season finale. Funny enough, Entertainment Weekly recently reported that Heigl will submit her name for Emmy consideration this year for her work as cancer-stricken Izzie. ________ Follow Marc on Twitter @marcmalkin |
