In the tribal opening titles, the FEI-LONG tribal name is flashed in double vision and zoomed off the screen ala another famous loser tribe, ULONG. Contrast that to the clear zoom in on the ZHAN HU tribal name ala KOROR. 2. At the end of the opening credits the word ZHAN HU is flashed right before the SURVIVOR: CHINA logo just as the JABURU name is flashed in Amazon and CHAPERA in ALL-STARS. 3. The day/night mood and visualization. Notice how the FEI-LONG music is somber and ends on a downer, included with a shot of Leslie crying and the sun setting. After 39 days there is a flash of light and the music goes from defeatest in tone to triumphant. Just my two cents. Cheers!

I noticed that the Tiger (meaning of Zhan Hu or something) was shown and the dragon was not (unless I missed it) *credit Survivor Phoenix

I don't see Zhan Hu being shown right before the logo, I see Chinese text with a yellow background but don't see Zhan Hu anywhere. In the Amazon theme song both Tambaqui and Jaburu names were shown before the logo and Tambaqui was shown right before. I don't see Chapera anywhere at the end of All Stars theme song, I do see a red flag but thats it. 3. Erik really isn't looking at the camera, he is just looking straight forward. If anything is odd about the people in the theme song its Todd. Every person has one Close Up shot and one Extreme Close-Up shot, Todd has like a Medium Shot and a ECU shot.

Other observations I've noticed that shows FEI-LONG crashes and burns: 1. In Amanda's shot, it shows her and Aaron breaking down a strong front in their path perhaps showing how these two destroy FEI-LONG with their leadership? 2. More about TODD, I have a feeling that FEI-LONG has the majority at the merger (6-4). Based on the shots of the first six FEI-LONG being shown followed by a fisherman smoking (fire goes out you get smoke) and two birds looking at the sun setting (game over?) then the shots of Todd and Leslie. Leslie is gone so it makes sense that Todd is next. Somehow someway though the winner comes from ZHAN HU, also remember the quote in EPISODE 2 about how its a miracle FEI-LONG had been succeeding thus far due to all the feuding. Perhaps Jean-Robert flips the game on its head? Just another couple of cents. Cheers!

Erik has been almost invisible, Frosti doesn't have enough depth, and Sherea looks like she's about ready to be voted off. Although who knows...

It's not her fault that the twist played out like it did, she just took advantage of the situation given to her, which a good strategist should do. At least she's not riding coat tails and actually making her own desicions. Anyway, we should expect twists like this one now, because they've been happening for ages. Silas got screwed over by the swap way back in Africa and most recently Michelle got screwed by the whole immunity teams twist. I say PG for sole survivor!

Before I start, let me say....what I am about to say is not for the purposes of offending anyone or pissing anyone off. And I tried to word my question differently, but it seems no matter how hard I try, it comes off as rude and dickish....but I DO NOT mean it in that context, it's simply a question from a curious observer. And my question is, do you guys actually believe that things like confessionals, opening credits, stuff like that, really mean anything in the game? For example, in this thread you guys seem utterly convinced that simple things (such as which tribe is shown first/last in the credits) really predict what tribe the winner comes from. Do you actually believe the winner will be from Zhan Hu purely based on these reasons? Or do you discuss it simply for fun? Let me stress again that this is all just curiosity, not rudeness......

But as far as trying to figure them out while the season is airing, I think, is usually pretty futile.

There's a different editing team at Mark Burnett Productions that does promos and the openings that's independent from the main Survivor editing and story team. All of this speculation is bunk...they just choose prettiest and most exciting shots and cut to the music. I have a friend who was an editor on Survivor for four seasons (so he was the lead editor for four different episodes). You all read into the editing way too much.
