They are not going to replay the whole show again, are they? I'm not in a hurry to start Season 3, in fact, I won't watch it, but I would like to get through it so we can get to Season 4 <3.

I felt seasons 2 and 4 were very overrated when I look back in retrospective. Season 4 was dullsville and Carrie cakewalked to the finale and season 2 I loved at the time but now, 5 years later wonder what all the fuss was about.

Their goal behind Idol was to create an artist that can ultimately create hits, sell records, and be an "idol" to their fans. In more simple terms, they wanted someone who can sell and make them money. I don't think they really care what form that person came in. Also, they clearly didn't pick the popstar Kelly over Carrie because they seemed to devote all their funds and effort into creating her into a star and after Kelly already proved she is a success, they basically fed her scraps for her third album. Greenie, everybody knows if your precious Kelly didn't win the first season the show would have probably ended by the 2nd or 3rd season. The show needed to have some crediability with their winners being able to make a name for themselves and Carrie/Kelly did that. The point I made is now I don't think they really give a shit since they have made their money. Although if they want this show to continue to be the top show they are going to need a mainstream winner within the next year or so. In reference of Kelly being his favorite winner, that's a load of BS. On Oprah and several other interviews he has repeatedly said that Tamyra Gray should have won Season 1, and that's after her career went nowhere. He, along with the show, really don't respect the fact that she has tried to get away from the Idol name and it has resulted in her 3rd album being a bomb. I've never heard Simon say that Tamyra should have won Season 1 and unless you can provide footage of that I'm going to assume this is more made up bullshit to further your agenda of discrediting Kelly. I have heard him say that the F2 Season 1 should've been Kelly and Tamyra though and I agree with him 100%. Also, they clearly didn't pick the popstar Kelly over Carrie because they seemed to devote all their funds and effort into creating her into a star and after Kelly already proved she is a success, they basically fed her scraps for her third album. it's nice to see you acknowledge that Carrie had the advantage of proper backing from Idol and her management whereas Kelly has to fight for her credibility. I do agree Kelly got fucked on the promo for her 3rd CD but that was Clive's doing and hopefully her upcoming album will fare better without him at the label. and even with being fucked over she still sold 1.6 million world wide.... that's not to shabby IMO. As for Simon and Randy saying Fantasia is their sentimental favorite winner, well yeah I'm sure she is... she's got a hard knock story of rape, illiteracy, and teen pregnancy. I'd say without question, Idol did more for Fantasia than it did for any other winner... it rescued her from a life of utter shit and poverty. With Kelly, I'd say Kelly did more for Idol than it did for her...Every other winner has had a full year to reap the benefits of their "crown" but with Kelly they were looking for replace her the minute the tape stopped rolling on the finale. she was only the "winner" for 7 months before she was replaced by Ruben for fuck sake.

I'm just looking forward to seeing Boomie again, and well...that's about it. I always hated the whole Wildcard mess and I thought most of the contestants this season sucked.
