I really want to rewatch the Hollywood rounds of this show to look for Juanita, Thylvia, and J-Fu.

Be on the lookout for Juanita in the Hollywood Rounds. Aside from her infamous meltdown in one of the doomed rooms, she was also Rickey Smith's background
dancer.
There is also a possibility that they might invite her back for a 2007 update!

In her interview before "What About the Chirrun," she also said that her background dancing was the only reason why Rickey made it past that round.
Group 2 = BEST GROUP EVER. All of them were final 12 worthy. You had the three who ended up being the final 3 of the whole damn thing The most robbed contestant ever, Israeli princess HADAS Creepy demonic Rebecca Bond Teen hearthrob Jacob John Smiley My favorite from the whole season who made 0 impact whatsoever, Candice Coleman And to wrap it all up... DANCE!

I miss the group format in general. It was unpredictable and much more fun to speculate.

I loved everything about that season as well, Naj. All those things were awesome! And I love how indignant Juanita got like "Well I made it this far,
didn't I?" totally forgetting that she only got through because of the Frenchie "scandal".
Kudos to whoever did this chop. eta: I thought in this chop Whatevia flounced into the pic. Ah well. Still funny. |

I also miss the excitement of the wildcard round. Their final chance. It reeked of desperation <3
Remember when we all expected Equoia, Hadas, etc to get another chance, and then they just brought back a bunch of random hot chicks who didn't make the top 32 and this shrieking wildebeest:
Trenyce was a pleasant surprise to all though, and Kim Caldwell was my favorite back then

Nakesha! And remember Moesha Denton? God, I love this season. And Samantha Cohen singing En Vogue I think.

She posted in her fan thread which is now in the Purgatory.
Basically, she thanked her fans here. She posted a couple of times. |

Moesha Denton had the snaggletooth. There was also Bettis Richardson, who sang and danced to "Thank You" by Boyz II Men with only the piano
accompaniment, and Ashley Hartman who took a hit of helium before her performance. I remember everyone saying she was the next Kelly Clarkson since they hid
her from us.

Didn't Ashley get some acting stint on OC?
Oh, and it's Meosha, not Moesha. (don't ask) Funny how we remember so much about these bitches when we couldn't even recall any of the semi-finalists last season.

Do you have a job? I lost it coming to AMERICAN IDOL. They wouldn't give me an off day, so I left. Do you have any formal singing training? No. Never. Where have you performed before? School and church, West Tennessee College productions When did you first start to sing? About 3. My mom used to make me, my sister and my brother sing at church. What is your favorite song to sing? "I Won't Complain" - a gospel song What is the first concert you went to? Immature. I was like 15. What is the last concert you went to? Cece Winans and Donald McClarken. What other talents do you have? I do hair, I can rap, I write poems. If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? I guess I'll go to The Apollo or something. What are your goals in life? To be where God wants me to be. I think that's a singer. I don't believe He just gave me this gift for nothing. BEST CONTESTANT EVER Yeah, Ashley was on The OC and in Maxim/Stuff. One of those. There was also Patrick Fartson, the 400 lb African Queen who sang Toni Braxton and got annoyed when they didn't like it. |

Favorite Juanita moment...
After performing and telling off the judges, she goes back to the Red Room and Ryan asks who is there is see her and she says: My awnt, my boyfriend and my mother-in-law.
There was also Patrick Fartson, the 400 lb African Queen who sang Toni Braxton and got annoyed when they didn't like it.And his father came out on stage. And remember Patrick what's his name whose white trash sister had a fit when the judges were rude to him?

And the best contestant EVER, Trenyce, will be back. She'll be on VFTW's Radio Show in 2 weeks, so if anyone has any questions, let me know. I do have about 10 billion to ask her already but hey.

OMG this will be AMAZING!
There were also some impeccable performances. Movie Night, for example, is one of the single best nights AI has ever had. KLo, Clay, Ruben, Trenyce, etc. were all in fine form that night. Save for Carmen's atrocious "Hopelessly Devoted" is was fantastic. |
