Listed is each player's name, confessionals for the last 5 episodes, and then their season total in parentheses. I may have gotten slightly different totals than you since we may have counted some confessionals in the first 9 episodes differently, so if the totals differ, don't worry about it. For those who are wondering, the only seasons that this happened in the premiere were Marquesas (I think- not sure about Tammy), Thailand, Amazon, Pearl Islands, All Stars, Vanuatu, and Guatemala. With only 16 people I think it stands a good chance.

That's always been my main complaint about the first few episodes of the seasons with 18 or 20 people. I didn't even learn to recognize most of the people until their boot episode. I think having only two tribes will also help a lot. I'm so excited about the new season!

Wasn't part of the rule that if their name came up again, then it was counted as a new confessional. I thought that's how it was done in the past. (That's what I did for Pirate Master also) So if that is the case, then a few people would have slightly different totals than what you have. For example, I had Jean-Robert and James both with 2 because their name came up twice, Aaron and Courtney with 3, and I don't remember the others off the top of my head. Maybe that was all of them.

They were just brought up as a reminder of who was talking, and being as it's the first episode, that makes sense.

(Ex. One person complains about another person then there is a gap and they explain why they dislike them after the gap would be one confessional....if one person talks about EI and then there is a gap and they come back talking about camp life..that could be two).

The editors add the names in early episodes so the general public can get to know the cast by names, doesn't mean that more confessionals are being added in. I will stick by the ten second rule and keep in mind when its blaringly obvious that a confessional is on the same topic.

I do the same thing you do- 10 second gap seperates two confessionals. The name appearing means nothing, since that isn't what we're counting. We're counting confessionals. I noticed that in this premiere they put the names up very often (for example- JR has one confessional but his name appeared twice probably to remind the audience who he was and what his profession was). So the way you're doing it is correct ILT.
