Sometimes I understimate my abilities. First, I jinx the Mets into an epic collapse last season, then I jinx the Mets again this season, and now I jinx Kobe and the Lakers.


I've watched several excellent defensive teams in my lifetime like the Bulls & Knicks in the 90s, Pistons in the late 80s, etc. But I've never seen a team play better defense in a half during a pivotal playoff game than Boston did last night. To hold the best offense in the league to 33 points in their home arena w/ a scoring machine like Kobe on their team is just phenomenal. If Boston was going to win this series, I'm glad they truly earned it by winning a game in LA. It would've annoyed me if they won this series cause of homecourt adv.


Anyway, unless the Celtics stop playing D and Kobe miraculously leads his team back from a 3-1 deficit, I don't want to EVER hear anyone compare Kobe to Jordan again. There is no way Jordan would've allowed his team to blow a 20-point second half lead in a Finals game. I know the Celtics played stiffling D but I've seen Jordan score 40+ points in the playoffs w/ defenders draped all over him.


Btw- Doc Rivers has completely schooled Zen Master Phil. This is the second time in a row Jackson will lose a Finals series where his team was favored to win. Oh, and Ray Allen has been the MVP in this series.
