Wow! I was going to support Team Japan simply based on them being the first Japanese team on the show (and I like Japan...), but that's awesome!

Oh well. Only one Evil White Guy this season.
But we've a Black team from the Philippines. And no Indians or Lankans. 
Not quite the eccentric bunch of last season. All fit hot young asian things. The common curse of reality TV casting. |

I seriously wish we had more Brother/Sister teams on AR so I'm glad they have one on this show. The Brother/Sister dynamic was so interesting in season
two. I wonder why they were scared to go back to it (Family Edition notwithstanding). Rampant incest jokes perchance?

The most stupidest move by Michael McKay is to cast mactorfucks. I thought originally, the race was not about
the money but the experience of a lifetime of traveling around the world, hoping to either grow or mend a current existing relationship. Well, all I can say is
that I cannot lean to any of the mactorfuck teams but to unique teams like Sachi (さち // 祥) which means happiness or Daiwaka (大判) which means big judgment [to be
looked on carefully] (Daichi/Sawaka) and Terri/Henry.
Mactorfuck Definition: like a clusterfuck, a mactorfuck is where a reality TV show is casted with too many model actors which seems like an overflowing orgy to act to which shows their talent to be a huge nil |

Great word. I'd amend to to casting ANY mactors. They are just so shallow that it turns any show they dominate into a boring, two-dimensional cartoon of
nothingness.

I agree that it sucks they haven't had but two brother/sister teams in all of TAR history. And not all that many sister/sister or brother/brother teams either compared to the endless mactor dating teams of ultimate boredom.And only two father/son teams (who cumulatively only made it through 7 episodes - brother/sister teams at least made it through 15) and one mother/son team. I'm sad that the Brazil cast seems so much better even though I have no idea what they're saying. I don't have a problem with mactors, just a problem with the lack of diversity - they could cast 11 teams of dating bumpkins and I'd hate that even more. |

i think its ok for mactors as long they hav personalities but looking at the teams this season 2, not all are mactors. i think it is quite a good mix of
contestants.

And what is with Thailand represented in season 1 by two Brits and this time around by two Aussies? Thais must be pissed. And the Philippines TV hosts are Aussie and American? How whacked is that? BTW when does TARA2 start now? Is TAR12's early debut screwing up TARA2's schedule since AXN broadcasts both? Does it really make since to broadcast both at the same time? Will TAR12 be delayed in Asia until after TARA2? Or will AXN's contract with World Race / CBS force them to delay TARA2? Is AXN royally pissed by the CBS decision? Anyone know? |

I think the word mactor should be banned. So sick of hearing it.
People need to get over their own insecurities and realize good looking people have the same opportunity to be entertaining as the uglies, so you mine as well cast the good looking. I mean as far as Survivor, people discussing the possibility All-Stars 2 want to see Eliza, Ami, Steph, Parvati, Michelle, and Courtney. What'ya know, they are all modelish types!!!! So get over it, mactors = entertaining. The only entertaining non-mactor on survivor was Cirie's fat ass. |

it depends some mactors are interesting most are boring tho... i mean Tyler/James i think were the names of TAR10 ... they were extremely boring, they barely
said anything the whole race. Some are good though, it just depends, i dont mind mactors as long as they have a personality
