Posts: 1107 (08/20/07 10:59 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I have set this thread up for the past two seasons, and it did relatively well as a thread to simply discuss the episodes as they aired without the heavy vidcap spec, Edgic, or spoilers. Let's hope it can work again for China. The cast is on the official China website, and I like the new group VERY much. 16 contestants and only 4 of them are from CA! No equal division of minorities! Wow, its already better than Cook Islands was (I know Ravu will probably poke his head in here and start attacking me for that one). Not sure on who to root for yet. Will probably start with the lunch lady since she's from MA.

It's a lot like Brian in that his job will help him a lot in the game. Unlike Brian though, Jean-Robert will be better at being UTR and passive in his strategy, due to the skills a poker player has to offer.

I hope this season brings us back to the golden days before All-Stars. There's been decent season since, but the earlier ones seemed more enjoyable. Maybe it was just because things weren't getting old by then. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this season.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since you've invoked me name and summoned me Quiddity... I don't attack YOU (or anyone else unless provoked first), I only attack people's LOGIC. I dislike prejudgments and stereotypes period The fact that you've already proclaimed the season better than CI when it hasn't even been showed already indicates a strong bias and prejudgment which has nothing to do with the actual show and everything to do with superficial critieria: like the hometown of the contestants, a preference for a Caucasian dominated cast, an issue with recruits, or perhaps just wanting things to go back to a Borneo-like era. You seem like the type who likes or hates a season on first impression and then justifies that initial bias with lame justifications like "too many recruits," "too many Californians," "not enough character development," etc. and the usual hollow complaints. Californians do not make a season boring. Recruits do not make a season boring. A boring season makes a season boring. And no one ever can explain how a season like CI or its cast was qualitatively worse than other seasons. When you compare what actually happened, it's clear that the arguments of undeveloped characters, not enough action, etc. hold no water when compared side by side with the other seasons Anyways, I know people will continue thinking what they wanna think, and just screen out my wordy posts as babbling. I mean, it's not like this is the 1st time I've talked about this, and people just dodge my points, put it in a box, and/or continue to think how they want to think Since you've already prejudged this season anyways, at least you're biased in an optomistic and positive direction this time, instead of hating on it and badmouthing before the game even begins. Can't think of her name, but she was the one believed responsible for the constant Miss Alaska/Idaho/etc and BF pairs on TAR.

I'm so pumped about there only being 16 contestants, no exile island...it's like they've actually been listening all this time and finally got it right. No racial division made me happy too. It's old, and I swear that bitch quit FIJI before the start as some fateful way of destroying their racial division they had planned. I absolutely hated that twist. Another twist that makes me puke is the final 3 and with only 16 contestants I am very excited at the thought that we will go back to final 2. If not, then only 4 people will go before the jury and that's just ridiculous. So things are looking good at this very early start. Fingers crossed for Courtney and Todd. Look like some good characters. Entertainment.

Hopefully she sticks around and gets her revenge on skeletor next week Yeah, I've pretty much hated Danielle the most for awhile now. In the 1st episode, I liked her, since she was smart. However, I HATE smacktalkers with a passion. Yeah, it's a game, and it's not a new or unexpected concept, but I just can't respect that type of gameplay. And I'm not entirely sure her whiny spiels, moralizing, and hypocrisy is all just strategy of leveraging morality for strictly political purposes

Towards the end there, I was getting a bit tired of the game and wanted it to end lol. I'm a big Joel fan now though BTW, I've noticed you around a lot more now beyond just the TAR forum.
