Why does it have to get so complicated? It's called Big Brother because they are being constantly monitored. That's it.

IT IS NOT A GAME SHOW!!!!!!!!Wrong, they may call shows like survivor, big brother, etc, a game show, but the fact is that they're governed under game show laws. Any show that's basically a competition giving out cash prizes depending on where you finish must follow game show laws. You're only allowed to rig a competition if there's no prizes depending on where you finish. |

Next season will feature AP- America's Producer. We tell him which maze to make the hamsters run through...

I can't believe people are still talking about this. If people were offended by producer manipulation, they would have stopped watching in Season 2.

It is kind of funny that the producers are trying to save Jen, considering she's the contestant who most seems to think the game is rigged for ratings.
Big Brother's interference in the game has changed Jen's game from attention seeking antagonist to blend in the background wallflower. |

I love the rigging and wish they'd rig it more. I say, rig away!

I guess if you want to still considerit a game, then the manipulative BB is an accepted part of the game as well. You have to be aware of who the favorites
will be and cater your game accordingly, knowing that the DR will try to protect the entertainment value via DR manipulations/suggestions and via the HOH and
veto competitions. You not only have to play the other HG's but have to play BB and be very careful what information you give up in the DR.
Floaters will never be saved by BB, however big personalities and outfront gamers will be targeted by other HG's. BB doesn't force your votes(other than Eric's) however they control your edit and can help you the next time you are on the block. You have to give them what they want most of the time and have to pick your battles with them. Daniele should know that the DR wants to keep Jen, and since the DR and BB have been good to Daniele though the course of the game, she should go along with what they want, however form alliance with Jen in the process - get something out of it while doing what BB wants. You keep BB happy while protecting yourself in the game. If you accept that BB and the DR manipulations as part of the game, then nothing is rigged. |

If Floaters will never be saved by BB, how did the Nerd Herd get so far...

The Nerd Herd weren't floaters. I'd say James and Sarah were floaters in BB6.

I am not exactly happy with the idea that producers/DR slip clues to the players or ask leading questions BUT who says they HAVE to listen to what the DR tells
them??? Just because they ask "hey wouldn't it be better to keep so and so" or "Why do you think you might go on the block" (to someone
who had no clue they might go up) etc etc doesn't mean crap because everyone (but Eric) has free will in the house and can vote any way they see fit (we
have seen jen vote one way despite the fact that DR tried to sway her to vote another). BB can only manipulate the players so far and the rest is up to them.
What really irritates me is the fact most of the HG's let the dr influence them instead of telling them to fuck off and vote the way THEY want and what is
in their best interest. I don't see all this as "rigging" as much I see it as noone in that house (except maybe Jen) has the balls to tell the
producers to go fuck themselves and play the game the way they want to.

all this diary room rigging almost solidifies my admiration for Drewlander and Maggot no wonder they both gave us nothing in confessionals about there game
moves and were personally detached in the diary room they did not want the producers to have any ammunition to go after them I am sure they both realized how
boring they were. It also explains why almost everyone at the beginning of season 6 wanted to allign with Crappy because they assumed he would get a superman
edit because he was a firefighter and that producers would try to protect him and his allies .

If BB needs to give some of the houseguests a nudge or a bit of support every now and then to keep the game interesting (and hopefully save the ending), so be it.If they have to push this hard past any logic in order to get the result they want, then they are short-circuiting the real drama in the house. So many said Dick had to stay because the house would be "boring" if he left. In order to keep him, they destroyed the only alliance which opposed him and kept three pairings who are not exactly interesting (the Donatos, Eric/Jess, Amber/Jameka), a floater who is a Donato groupie (Zach), and Jen. The house is essentially run by the Donatos now, since Jameka can't play for HOH, Amber isn't likely to win, and if she did, she would understandably target backstabbers E/J, not the Donatos. So we are left with Eric and Jessica going around talking about how they have to get rid of the Donatos, which shows how stupid they are, because they had their last chance to get rid of a Donato last Thursday. Eric sacrificed any drama left in the season in order to try to fit in with the cool kids. Now, most likely, the only question is whether D/D will be F2 or if they will drag someone with them to lose in a humiliating fashion. The strategy has been replaced by a popularity contest. |
