I'm glad that it didn't do a lot of damage, but DAMN, Georgia needs the rain.

I just got one of those recorded calls from the school board. Schools may close again tomorrow cause of all the flooding. Keerist.

It is still friggin raining here. My house is fine, but so many roads are impassable that school is closed again today. I'm not opening my office
either.

I just read this snippet:
"The storm could dump 30 inches of rain in some areas of Florida and the National Hurricane Center said up to 22 inches had already fallen near Melbourne, just south of Cape Canaveral on the state's central Atlantic coast." Way, WAY too much rain there, and hardly any this month in other places here in the southeast. It would help a lot of people if the damn storm would finally start moving along its projected path. |

It's stalled basically. We're still getting rain from the southern end of Fay.
The roads are so flooded the schools will be closed for the rest of the week. |

Sounds like Allison that hit Houston back in 2001. Not a big TS but just stayed around and flooded the shit out of everything.

Yep. This thing has dumped more rain then some of the hurricanes we've had. Not to mention the 8 tornados that touched down. |

yeah the wind was really bad here in Kendall. I was on the Palmetto yesterday and the wind nearly knocked my car over.

All this rain is really screwed. The ground is soaked and the next storm will be whipping trees out of the ground.
The tornados are amazing, we had two by us yesterday and it's bizarre to see them dissipate. One minute crap is whirling through the air and the next it just falls and the winds gone...made me feel kinda highish. |

I just saw on the news we got another 24-48 hours of this shit. The storm isn't moving.
But hey, my power only went out for 2 hours today. That's better than the 3 weeks I dealt with after the hurricanes. |
