as an avid Hurricane watcher, but only for the last 5 to 10 years, are there any precedents to this year where no named storms have formed by mid Aug ? How did those years turn out in the end? |

This is the kind of summer we had for 20 years straight before 2 hurricanes hit us dead to rights in one month. Lots of afternoon storms most every day. The
wetter the season the better, plus it hasn't been as ungodly hot. It's actually been like this a couple of summers now. Ocean waters are cooler, too.
