The birthday listed on CBS is July 13 which makes her a Gemini. But you might as well ask if there's a trend of winners with certain letters in their name.

Thank you for that correction. gemini yeah that makes sense. You need to have two sides to win in survivor. Ive never been much of a researcher myself just wanted to see if anyone knew.

Quote:Yeah. Gemini makes sense. But of course, you thought Leo made sense. And all the posters in the Western world are going to point out that July 13 is still Cancer in western astrology, at which point you will find a way for Cancer to make sense. Or you could find something worthwhile to do with your time. |

Jen Lyons was born on my son's birthday. I liked her as a person, not so much as a player. Anyone know how Jen is doing?

Quote: You're fucking kidding me??? I hate everyone but Lex (surprisingly, I like Lex in Africa but was neutral with him in ASS because his stupidity made me stop liking him but I don't hate him either) and Elisabeth on here, not to mention most of them fucking sucked when it came to gameplay. Debb was pathetic I don't remember Dirk because I haven't watched Borneo in a long time (time to rewatch it) Carl became the first victim of the Mallrats John was an annoying idiot that got arrogant and cocky so he decides to realease the pecking order thinking Paschal and Neleh were fine with 5th & 6th place (seriously, where the fuck is this guys brain?) Robert had a gift from god by making an alliance with Kathy so the game was sitting right in his hand but he screws up by not pushing Kathy enough Ken was the re-re that lead to the destruction of Sook Jai when he decided to boot Jed and Robb over Erin, Steph (who was sick), Penny, or Shii Ann who then made it blow up in his face by keeping them around, and ugh his jury question, "Brian's lying" wtf?? Brian to my knowledge told the truth from what we saw. Katie well, don't hate her, I just hate her for making the winner predictable by guilting Ian into quitting, then again, I should be mad at Ian for falling for it. And Margaret, meh at first, then annoying. |

I know some of you are a bit dissapointed with the people who share your zodiac sign, but the biggest dissapointement should be in the fact that you actually believe in this crap.

Re: SURVIVOR ZODIAC | ||

It's delightful watching people who don't even understand what they supposedly believe in.
The solar system is a relatively flat disc, i.e. most of the planets circle the Sun in roughly the same plane. The Earth circles the Sun too, so that if you watch the Sun in the sky from day to day it will appear to move relative to the background stars (which of course are invisible in the daytime but if you memorize the stars you can tell where the Sun is at dawn and dusk). If you don't understand why, simply place an object in the center of the room, and walk in a broad circle around it. The object is the Sun and you are the Earth. As you circle it, watch what's behind the object from your point of view: it changes because you're moving. First it's the window, then the desk, then the door, etc. Those background stars, the constellations the Sun moves through over a year, are called the zodiac. There are thirteen constellations in the zodiac; the twelve traditional signs of Aries, Pisces et al., plus Ophiuchus, which is usually left out of astrology for reasons unclear, even though the Sun spends a considerable amount of time within it. Since most of the planets circle the Sun in generally the same plane as Earth, the planets also follow the zodiac, and the Moon skims in and out of it as well, though this is more of a coincidence. A person's astrological sign is taken from the position of the Sun on the day they were born. If the Sun was in Gemini, the person's sign is Gemini. It's just that simple. At least, that's what people seem to think. The Earth is also tilted on its axis with respect to the plane of the solar system. If it weren't, then the Sun and zodiac would always appear directly over the equator, and if you projected the Earth's lines of latitude up into the sky, the line of the equator would match the line of the ecliptic. Since the axis is tilted, the equator and the ecliptic are offset by 23.5 degrees. To picture this, take two rings or other circular objects, lay them flat on top of one another, and then tilt one, ideally inside the other. They form an angle...one is the ecliptic, and one is the imaginary projection onto the sky of the Earth's equator. But...you'll notice that the circles still meet each other, at two points, one on each side. These intersections, the points at which the ecliptic meets the equator in the sky, are called equinoxes. When the Sun, following along the ecliptic, meets the equinox, it's therefore on the equator. From our perspective this means that exactly half the earth is in sunlight and half in darkness, so day is equal to night for that day. Since the tilt of the Earth's axis and its orbit are more or less constant, the equinoxes always occur around the same time, March 21 and September 22, give or take a day or two. So, since the equinoxes are fixed, and since they essentially are just fixed points in the sky, they should have fixed positions among the stars, right? Wrong, and this is where astrology fucks up. You see, in addition to being tilted, the Earth's axis "wobbles". If you spin a top you'll see this effect; after a while the top point of the top will move around in a circle, as will the center and the bottom and everything else about it. The Earth does this too on a much slower scale...it makes one "wobble" every 26,000 years. But that's enough to make noticeable effects, because as it wobbles the stars change their place in the sky, relative to the equator and relative to the solar system. For instance, only in this century has Polaris actually been over the North Pole. It's only been called the North Star in the past because it's been the brightest star close to true north. It's gradually been moving toward the pole, and now that it's there it will gradually move away from it. So the imaginary point of the north pole is gradually moving across the heavens, as are all imaginary points in the sky...including the equinoxes. In ancient times the spring equinox was at the "beginning" of the constellation Aries, at the point when the Sun first entered Aries. But due to the "wobble" the equinox has steadily been moving backwards along the zodiac over the past millennia, and entered Pisces. It's now gone through most of Pisces and is moving out of it, and by the 26th century will be entering Aquarius (hence the terms Age of Pisces and Age of Aquarius). All the while, the equinox still occurs on or around March 21. But, the constellation it's in on that day has gradually changed, and so the position in the zodiac the Sun is in on that day has changed too! Where March 21 used to be the beginning of the "sign" of Aries, it is now only a week into the sign of Pisces! While much of the world adjusts their own zodiacs to account for this change, most Westerners still use the same dates from over two thousand years ago. The precession of the equinoxes has caused those dates to be off by as much as a month. In general, if you've been told you're one sign, you are actually the sign that comes before it. For a field that's supposed to revolve around the position of stars, it sure doesn't pay much attention to them. |

Well gee.... I guess my brain aint much bigger than the size of a pee to actually belivive in anything now a days. For every position in life there are three waiting to prove you wrong. Ill be a Leo till the day I die. Yeah I might be wrong, but whats the harm in believing. Yeah there are going to be people that dont believe and dont agree but I dont knock them for that, "To each there own". Horiscopes and zodiacs are fun for me, I dont read them like I would a bible but they are what they are. Anti, your theory is really interesting, how come that hasnt been accounted for in modern zodiac? That would make me a.........?
I think that this Survivor will find a "Libra" winner its either Aras or Terry. |

Quote:Retard? Quote:It's science, not a theory. Hell, it's not even science, it's simple mathematics. The validity of astrology's tenets isn't even the debate here, the point is that you're not even accepting observable truth. It's like reading the Bible and thinking Joseph is the Savior. Whether or not Jesus is actually a Savior isn't the point, it's that the material given to you says he is and not Joseph. |
