Most seasons I root for one tribe. This time it's Casaya.
As with New Jaburu and Drake, we have nearly all of the dynamic players who "make" the season together on one team.
Favorite Winning Tribes:
1 New Jaburu - Jenna picked all the entertaining and strategic players for her tribe. They featured Rob C, Matt, and Deena, with Heidi waiting to team up with Jenna at the merge.
2 Drake - they gave us Rupert, Christa, and Sandra, plus archvillians Burton and JFP. Morgan was dull and pathetic.
3 Koror - a smart and likeable bunch, dominated like no other tribe in history, but not as entertaining as the top 2.
4 Casaya - they saved the season by beating La Mina for control at the merge, and managed to pagong Terry in the end.
5 Ogakor - they had the queen of drama (Jerri), the queen of strategy (Tina), and came back from 5-7 to outsmart the opposition at the merge. Kucha is so overrated, their coolest member was Kimmi.
6 Boran - lost marks for the Kelly G fiasco, but quarrelling Samboohoo had a death wish.
Favorite Losing Tribes:
1 Yasur - responsible for most of the drama in Vanuatu, and Eliza and Ami made the season.
2 New Maramu - featured Kathy and Gina, while John C and Rob M were butting heads. I cheered when they won 3 straight challenges against Rotu muscle.
3 Pagong - had to root for the innocent underdogs against Sue, Rich, and the alphabet voting guy.
4 Raro - more entertaining players and gamers than Aitu, the endgame would be more fun if they'd prevailed at the merge.
5 Mogo Mogo - so many more likeable players and genuine stars than those Chapera chumps, but the force was with Romber.
That leaves Thailand, where I didn't especially like either tribe, and Guatemala, where many that I liked ended up in the minority after the switch.
