It's strange how the first two seasons had the most non-bitter juries. Everyone remembers "snakes and rats" but everyone else in Borneo was fairly good-natured. The Outback jury was also pretty good-humored. Even Jerri. It wasn't till Africa that the bitterness started, and ever since then a bitter jury is almost a given, to the point where some F2 contestants (like Katie and Lill) say that tribal council was the worst experience in their lives. In fact, in the last season Aras even threatened Danielle by saying, "I'll make the jury very very bitter towards you" and it worked.
I think there's a difference between being bitter and being immature. I think all jury votes, even the "non-bitter" ones, have some bitterness. But I think some Survivors cross the line from merely being bitter to being mean, spiteful, and immature. Among that list: Sue, Twatwaffle, Kathy, Big Tom (all from ASS), Tammy, Christa, Sarge, Judd, Shane.
My least favorite bitter speech: Kathy. Simpering, self-pitying, self-aggrandizing, rambling, and she ends up asking Amber whether she's in love with Rob. "And it can't be in between." Gah, is that any of your fucking business?
My favorite bitter speech: Gregg's. Every word carefully chosen, delivered perfectly, and happened to be absolutely true. For once, an absolute goat who played to be a goat was called out on her "plan."
