When you hit the "Add Reply" button, you will see a "How To" section on the right hand side of the message composition area. Click on "How to use EzCodes", and it will explain it there. ZD |

Automatic LogIn and Editing

I used to open SS an would be automatically logged in. A little thing appeared on the upper right that said "Logging in as.....". Now it doesn't do that. Why? And now I am not getting the option to edit any posts I make. Why?

Rotney, I'm not totally sure, but it looks like your cookie for this board may have been deleted and that you are no longer logged in at all (hence the lack of the "edit" option)
Do you have your browser set to accept cookies? If not, then you have to enable this function in order to remain logged in. If you haven't tampered with the cookie options on your browser, it should be a simple matter of going to the main page, and clicking the "Log in" link on the front page located just under the Blue CSC Icon next to the name "Survivor Sucks." Once you've entered your name and password, and provided you didn't disable cookies on your browser (or set your browser to delete all cookies whenever you end your session), you should be logged in each time you return to the board, and the "edit" option should appear under each post you have made. Hope this helps. |

I assume by "preduice" you mean prejudiced.
The answer is NO. There is nothing funny about prejudice, period. ZD |

Re: missing large thread

I'm looking for the thread Sex 'n the jury which had 20+ posts. Maybe it's one of the larger threads that got lost recently. You said to report it to FAQ. It was on the speculation board I think. Someone bumped it up last week and I meant to add something then but got busy over Christmas. I want to add to it now regarding Teresa's comment to Kim J. that the only way a woman can win it all with this jury is if the two finalists are women. Shows Teresa has watched what happened in previous jury votes.
Thanks, bluesky |

Quote: This is what I find strange. Quite a number of people say in their bios they are high school children. Is this an American thing? - To be very puritanical. Why is 18 the cut-off mark? Isn't that the age in America if you haven't had sex by then you're considered odd? Does the age limit suddenly make all this public posting about sex respectable because minors of course are going to heed the warning <muffled guffaw>? C'mon, with the net and cable and videos, do you think this age restriction is going to work? Isn't America the country with its most "puritanical" attitude to sex the country with a sky-rocketing teen pregnancy and the home of porno? How about in Europe where nudity is natural and so is sex. Isn't that kind of healthier and promotes people to develop a more mature attitude to sex, an attitude that judging by the content of the boards, some people never acquire? I find this age thing kind of phony. A day before 18, you can't read about sex. A day after your 18th birthday, you can do phone sex for a living, be a stripper, whatever, not that the age restriction ever stopped anybody. The age restriction doesn't DO anything but occasionally serve to be a forum for which people can suddenly become all self-important about the sex issue and acquire a veneer of respectability. Like the PC thing. It doesn't get rid of racism, it just gives people a means to sweep the problem under the carpet. |

Regarding the 18-year-old thing, I think it's somewhat of an attempt to "protect" the kids from internet predators. As far as our "puritanical" views about sex and nudity, I don't see as there's a real advantage for the European countries in their openness. A lot of the European countries also approve of men having mistresses. A good thing? I don't think so. Just my opinion.
Oh, hell, this will probably be removed, because it's off-topic, but at least I tried. |

Speaking of remembering that not everyone on this board is an adult...
What I find most irritating is that some of the posters who identify themselves as high school students, etc., are generally (not always) the guiltiest of placing profane or lewd comments in their signature lines. (edited to reflect that not all teens here are guilty!) |

I think I'm ok here, but wanted to make sure.
My sig is a link to a Survivor related webpage. (John's Hot Sauce campaign) Is it ok to have the URL as my sig? See below... John's Hot Sauce Hunt!

You are right, not all teenagers are guilty of the lewd comments made here. There are two tho, who are guilty about fifty times a day. One them, who claims to be only 14 years old has a very crude signature. I think those "children" should be banned...but certainly not those under 18 who can carry on an intellegent conversation without trying to be so sexual.
IMHO Maude PS, have you ever come to this site and seen that one of them has answeredd every single thread on the first page? It happened this morning. Edited because sometimes I just can't spell. |

Re: BigFan.. | ||

Yep, maudie, I know EXACTLY to whom you're referring... Both the sexual sig line AND the one who feels the need to see his name (I think it's a "he") on every post.

yeah... | ||

I know who that person is too. Not to be to obvious, but I think that that person changed his sig when someone complained about it. (OK, now it's painfully obvious who it is.)
Maybe it should be a rule here that anything sexual will result in some kind of punishment... banning for a day or something. (And If you get caught posting under a different name you may be banned for another day or something.) |

Just a related question

Do these rules apply to ALL the boards? For example the main survivor sucks board too? Reguarding sexual content?
