Yeah, I agree that's the separate cases being connected thing is starting to get old. I hope they stop doing that. Every once in a while is fine, but every week and it just starts to look ridiculous, not to mention that both the football/hooker case and the beaten boy/electronics store episodes both seemed to be trying a little too hard.
