I think it's a great idea, especially to jump off of. Survivor ALWAYS has to stay one step ahead of the players and this is one way that none of them
could expect what was happening.
Once way it could be done is that games get played twice one day apart... (not boring to watch if edited correctly as 1 moment...as if it happened on the same day)
And that TCs happen one day apart, so they get the "Just after Dusk" look they go for each time.
Other than that, the only thing would be the payment for the camera crew, who would have less time off, unless they hired in another unit.
