It's the old, unfortunate equation for women in Hollywood: (lack of success = I must weigh too much!) Katherine's CD doing poorly had nothing to do with her weight (!), and everything to do with indecisiveness and not knowing what her strengths are as a singer. Or listening to bad advice. Katherine has formidable chops when singing ballads and swing. But she is NOT black, nor is she a hard rocker. She shouldn't try to be either one. On her CD the few ballads were boring and the rest, mostly failed attempts at R&B, didn't work out too well either. The result? Not a single really good song.

Also, while I guess it is possible to be successful as a singer, model and actress, trying to do all 3 simultaneously has not worked out too well for her so far.
