A lot of people would put Becky all the way at the bottom of a ranking like this because she got one of the worst edits you can get, which is the 'inv girl who got no votes' edit, a brutal and unforgiving edit that reduces finalists to ghosts that no one even remembers being on the season. Other people would put her near the top because "OMG THE AITU 4!!1", although that attitude isn't as represented here at sucks. Anyway, Becky is by far my favo of the Aitu 4, which isn't saying that much really, but I appreciate what a random background lurking cuntess she was. Watching Cook Islands again and searching for Becky Lee's personality was liking looking for easter eggs, and what I found was that Becky was a gawdawful stuck up bitch, but in a stealth, ninja way (racist). The editors towed a really fine line, between making the Aitu 4 a CPP multi-racial success story (RIGGED, ps) and illustrating why Becky got no votes without damaging Yul's brilliant robotic hero edit (
). If you ever feel inclined to watch CI again I would totally suggest paying more
attention to Becky.
On Becky's personality: Becky was a stone cold ice queen bitch. Like, for real. There were people she liked (intelligent, young, attractive people like lawyer Yul and med student Candice) and then there were people that were beneath her (annoying old famewhore Jonathan and waiter/pornstar Ozzy) and if you fit into the latter category then she would let you know that she was merely tolerating your presence. Her dedication to getting rid of Ozzy despite the obvious drawbacks and her intense hatred of Jonathan provided some of my favorite moments in CI tbh. Less interesting is her devotion to Yul because they're both Korean and the instant, unbreakable bond that arose out of that common ground.
On Becky's gameplay: Becky played the entire game to be loyal to her oppa aka be a good little subservient asian girl and do whatever it takes to help her chosen man achieve success, which is lame. She was playing to be a Korean role model, which is, I guess, as an ambitionless sidekick to a man.
On Becky's placement: I have a unique appreciation for Becky despite rooting against her and the underdog heroes of Cook Islands. I would've liked her more had she been playing for herself and not to set an example of subserviancy for all Korean womankind or whatever the hell. But anyway, being a comically mute cuntess can only take you so far, and in this case it took her to 69.
