~ 71. DANNI BOATWRIGHT ~
It's difficult to do this write-up without mentioning another, infinitely BETTER athletic brunette from Guatemala, but I will attempt it anyway. Danni was boring and a total gamebot despite having no apparent game whatsoever. Some people say she was edited unfairly or inaccurately or w/e, and while I think that is probably a legitimate complaint given how UTR almost all female winners are, I also don't really give a fuck. Other people say Danni deliberately hid her scheming from the cameras because she wanted a good edit, but I don't believe that whatsoever and also, if that is true, she is LESS likable to me not more. Danni was the beneficiary of some sexist-ass bullshit and one of the most disappointing winners in a season IMO. All of that aside she is beautiful and she seems like a really nice, normal, well-adjusted person. Everyone loved her and I think it would be easy to, but she's too normal to be entertaining.
On Danni's personality: Danni actually seems pretty outgoing despite her low-key edit. In fact I remember one of the interviews she gave after the show, and she said she was disappointed they made her seem so blah. She seems like she could get along with anyone, but that just really makes her uninteresting to me because it creates a lack of tension in her personal journey.
On Danni's gameplay: Danni is the kind of person that would do well in any season. She's popular, easy to get along with, smart, reasonably athletic, etc. I think she underrated by many and overrated by a few. Some random ass shit happened around Danni during the end game that gave her the edge at the end, but she had very little direct affect on her success from my perspective, and I don't see her as brilliant or particularly savvy. Some say she was put at a disadvantage after the merge but honestly, she just couldn't get back her old tribemembers. It wasn't even like she was going to be pagonged. She just couldn't salvage any relationship with her old tribemembers. W/e, she won so she didn't do too bad I guess
On Danni's placement: Danni is beautiful and kind of cool but a suckass winner. As a contestant I have mixed feelings, but as a winner she's probably my least favorite of all the women, if that makes any sense. Ironically, if she hadn't won she would probably be higher in this ranking. I'm sure she wishes she could give back the million and end up like 55th in this ranking but it's too late for that Danni, sorry.
