Cassandra is prob one of the most rawbed finalists of all time both in terms of the edit she received and the credit she gets from fans and contestants alike for the near-perfect game she played in Fiji. That being said, Cassandra was so boring AND underedited that I don't even know how I'm going to finish this write-up. Jesus be with me. Despite recognizing that she was a shrewd, solid player and probably a nice woman, I also have to say that she was a complete and utter casting failure. Her string of "mmmhmmmm"s is lolworthy but honestly that's all she contribute personality-wise. She's probably the most forgettable finalist ever, even counting asian sensation Becky Lee. Instead of talking about Cassandra in general I'm going to zero in on the one moment that I can remember really liking Cassandra. During ftc Cassandra was mostly ignored or shat upon by the misogynist jury, but when professional asshole and wife-beater Alex stepped up to plate and started verbally assaulting Cassandra she did not back down. In fact she repeatedly told him that he was mistaken and tried to correct him as he ordered her to stop talking (after just asking her a question that he apparently did not want an answer to). She also did one of my favorite things, which is answer a jury member's bullshit question by attacking them. (paraphrasing)
Alex: "At what point in the game did you have to question your integrity"
Cassandra: "Well Alex, one time I rolled up on you and your boy Boo talking crazy shit about me behind my back like the two faced, backbiting, junior high bitches that you both are, and I had to ask myself: do I stay and listen to the rest of this shit or do I walk away? It was a hard choice for my integrity."
Alex: *fuming*
You could tell she wanted to fuck his world up and I don't blame her. Of course she just plastered on that annoying perma-smile she always had and went on about her business, letting us all down.
Even her intro is boring.
On Cassandra's personality:Like I said, Cassandra seems like a cool chick. A little too cool, really, because she just wasn't interesting. It was like she was barely even present. I don't dislike anything about her, really, I just...don't care.
On Cassandra's gameplay:Cassandra came from a really awful position on Moto and turned into a power player post-merge. A lot of people say she, Earl and Dreamz had a black alliance, but I'm not sure that race was a primary factor so much as that Cassandra and Dreamz were both outcasts on their original tribe and Earl was something of a nomad, ally-wise. Cassandra had a tight game plan, bringing in randoms Stacy and Dreamz as her closest allies in addition to the bond she formed with Earl (and by extension Yau Man). It's my opinion that if it weren't for the shiteous F3 (worst twist ever), Cassandra would've been our second black female winner.
On Cassandra's placement: A terminally bland contestant with nothing to offer entertainment wise, she ranks this high only because I do feel she was robbed as a finalist and because there's nothing hate-worthy about her beyond the fact that she's completely devoid of an interesting quality.
