We are still dating. Keyword "dating". Doesn't feel like a real relationship because her job takes her away for a week(s) at a time, and when she's back she has tons to do here and time is at a premium. So it's good, but not great.
What compounds it is the reason I broke up with my previous girlfriend. She wanted to take a huge job opportunity on the west coast, but didn't take it because of our relationship. A year later she was offered the same opportunity. I encouraged her to take it because it was ridiculously cool. So she did, and we tried to make it work and it was just too frustrating for both of us. So we agreed to break up, but see where it is when she eventually returns.
So this feels like deja vu all over again.
