I really liked this show and hate to see it go. For me the ending was OK since I knew it was canceled before it was filmed and they just threw something together for closure BUT what was the whole plot line about Sam's father being a total dirt bag in 1973 but then his real father turns out to be Gene? Everything else made a certain kind of sense, but I just didn't get that. The Obama crap was just stupid and really bad writing, they had already made the point in an earlier ep when Sam saw that Obama had won - the writers did a good job with that, but the "President Obama and her sister" reference was just lame and poorly written.
