I dunno, anytime I've gotten Godiva chocolates, they always came with a gun inside. Kind of like Cracker Jacks, but better.
As for mailing herself a gun, it's one way to get it past airport security. But the whole idea of mailing herself a gun doesn't make sense to me. My opinion is that Widmore sent it to her along with intel on Ben.
