Stone & Co. expanding operations
"Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" producer Stone and Co. is expanding its operations to the East Coast, tapping Sarah-Jane Cohen to open its New York office.

Cohen already has sold a pilot to Style Network, where she's currently prepping the project with Stone and Co. founder Scott Stone.

Stone announced the New York expansion and Cohen's appointment on Thursday.

"It is time to establish an official outpost in New York," Stone said. "When I started this new company four years ago I did it with an eye on the global marketplace."

Cohen will work with Stone's programming senior VP Joan Harrison, who oversees the company's development.

Cohen already had been serving as exec producer on "Guide to Style." Her credits also include a lengthy stint at the BBC; as exec VP of BBC Prods. in New York, she exec produced shows such as "What Not to Wear" and "While You Were Out."

After the BBC, Cohen also exec produced the pilot to Bravo's "Tabatha's Salon Takeover."

Stone and Co. is shooting a Manhattan-based project for Bravo, a gamer for Nickelodeon, a Miami-set series for Logo and a pilot for GSN. It was also behind Logo's "Gimme Sugar" and Bravo's "First Class All the Way," as well as ABC's recent revival of "The Mole."

Their expansion is good news for the show. What's interesting is they only appear to be producing shows for smaller/niche networks.
