So true. Even though I wasn't necessarily basking in the love for some of these people, their fan base was palpable. Also, hating a character can tie you to a season just as much as liking someone. Plenty of people could write pages on their loathing of Ace or Gillian. Same goes for the love of Dan, despite the fact that he was a total tool.
