That's not foolproof either. Of course Kenny would say he'd flip if he was put in that position. Then he would go back on his word.
Of course it's not foolproof, but would have been a better option. The way Bob/Corinne did it was a win/win option for Kenny. Either way, somebody else was going and he was going to live to see another day. I'm just saying it would have been more effective for them to threaten Kenny directly. And I think that way they could have gotten Crystal too because I think she'd do what she had to to save Kenny.
