I rate seasons as a whole regardless of how much I liked my favourite contestant.

I love Amberly and she's my favourite Canadian Idol contestant ever and I did love Earl and I think Theo is good but overall Season 6 was all kinds of atrocious. The problem with CI though is that it's best season came too early. CI2 was so amazing that everything since then hasn't been nearly as good in comparison. Taking CI2 out of the equation some of the other seasons aren't that bad, and actually quite good. In any case everything about CI6 was pretty much fucked up and it ruined any momentum or potential it had going in the beginning. I hate CI6 with a seething passion.

Melinda is the bomb and one of my Top 2 favourite AI contestants alongside Elliott but Season 6 of AI was also very atrocious. Seriously Blake and Jordin? Seriously?

Season 6 of Australian Idol clearly isn't even worthy of discussing. Anyone good got robbed, the Top 2 was laughable. Adore Sophie, but that's about it.

Looking at what I just wrote my favourite CI, AI and OzI contestants came from my least favourite seasons of those shows. They entertained me and I adored them but everything aside from them was just bad, and it doesn't help that they were unceremoniously kicked to the curb too early.

For me what ruined both of these seasons were was how voting and eliminations went down which ruined the quality of the performances and shows.
