I'd like to know how he thinks Crystal took advantage of that and he didn't. It sounds more like he thought that connection meant that Crystal was supposed to handicap her game and never target him instead of keeping that and the game separate. Going for the blatantly selfish move of booting Ken instead of compromising and booting Susie, which everyone would have been happy with, is where he fucked up. Crystal had already set up specific boundaries for any alliance between them, saying she wouldn't vote for him, Ken, or Bob.
