Mayan Sun at SFnet has transcribed Jeff's comments. I think we can come up with some fairly good handicaps from a few days in. What has happened to the media teleconference!?!

Jeff Probst: Ace is an interesting guy. He's going to be a big character whether he lasts 3 days or 39 because he's got a look, he's got the accent and he's got an air about him that could get extremely annoying.

Ace: Yes, I am quite arrogant. I apologize.

Probst: I think he might try to get off to a big start and at some point people might say, "You know what? I don't think this guy really knows all that he's claiming to know." (Doesn't seem to be in a good position, Dumped circa merge? -croc)

Charlie is a fun guy. I like Charlie, he's got an energy about him. He's excited to be on the show and typically those guys have been very good for Survivor because they know the game and they want to play the game. I think Charlie is going to be a guy who actually plays this game, will try to form alliances, will probably turn on those alliances when the time is right. That's why he's on the show, we expect that from him. Charlie could go far. (Could go far)

Corrine is the resident bitch.

Corinne: I can come off bitchy but it's really just like a condition.

Probst: And she'll tell you how she's feeling and there'll be no doubt how she's feeling. Corinne is gonna need a good alliance because Corinne is typically the kind of person that will, if she is not with a group, will not be liked enough to keep around. (short-mid timer)

Crystal Cox is an interesting story. She is an Olympic athlete. She's a medal winner. This woman has moves and strength and agility. How much of that will apply to Survivor, I don't know. And how much will she show. I think the big question for Crystal is, how much of her past to reveal and then how people respond to her. (circa merge)

Gillian, this is a homecoming for Gillian. She's from South Africa. So, after all these years of applying Gillian was so excited she finally made the show and then found out it was Africa. The obvious thing Gillian has going against her is what anybody who's the older person on a season has, you're the older person. Suddenly people are looking for a reason to vote somebody out, how about the older woman. (could slip to the Jury, it looks like a few others are ahead of her on the chopping block)

G.C., Danny's his name. He decided to go by G.C. out here. G.C. is the dark horse for me. I don't know. He's very quiet but very athletic. If G.C. faded into the woodwork it would not surprise me and if G.C. faded into a nice alliance and lasted a long time, it wouldn't surprise me. (X-factor guy, possible jurist)

If Dan Kay lasts through half the game I will be surprised. He appears to have everything going for him. He's a good looking guy, he seems to say all the right things but the more I watch him and I kinda pay attention I kinda scratch my head at some of the things he's doing. I would not want him to be my leader. ( circa merge)

Jacque is somebody that we were rooting for. We were on the fence with Jacque. Is she gonna fade into the woodwork or is she gonna come strong? So far she's coming strong. We're hoping that lasts. She's athletic, she's attractive. Her big question is going to be, what alliance does she make and is it the right one? (Sounds like Jeff thinks she found a good alliance off the bat, mid-late jury)

Jessica Kiper is going to go by the name Sugar out here. Her big strategy was to lie and not tell anybody she's an actor because then they won't believe her but instead tell them that she is a retro pinup girl. What Sugar does have going for her is that she's very likeable. She has a bit of an underdog in her and if she pairs up with the right person who might be able to relate to that underdog, that could be an alliance that's very strong. (I think she moved up in his eyes. Still dunno)

Kelly is one of our young, hot girls this season. Fortunately she loves being young and hot. She likes to show you that she's young and hot and talk about being young and hot. Kelly's best advice is going to be, get in the middle of a good alliance and hang on for dear life. (ok she's young, hot and that's it. Rumor has it she was recruited from an on-line photo. Here's what you get. )

Kenny the gamer is the wild card of the season. When the casting director brought Kenny in I literally put my hand on her forehead to see if she had a temperature. This guy, he doesn't weigh as much as my leg. But I tell ya, Kenny has surprised in the first few days.

Ken: They other people are going to look at me and be like, wow, this kid is just amazing what he can do.

Probst: I like Kenny a lot. I would list him as one of my favorites. (I dunno)

Marcus the doctor. Obviously Marcus is an incredibly accomplished guy. I'm not sure if Marcus socially can play this game or not. I'm not sure Marcus is willing to lie or be seen in a bad light. That'll kill you in this game. (Aras II? This is way different that the pregame 'arrogant comment')

Michelle, I'm rooting for Michelle because I think it's going to be tough on her. Michelle seems to me to be the kind of a person who's going to need people to bring her into their alliance. I don't know that she's as good at going out and bringing in her own group.

Michelle: I always stick out. I don't know why that happens but I always stand out a little bit.

Probst: And when somebody brings you into their group you're at the bottom. She's going to have to step up and take some big chances. (Dead Meat)

Susie is a mom and she's a talker. Susie's game is going to be based on whether or not she gets the right alliances because I don't think on her own that she knows what she's doing out there. Her biggest obstacle is going to be her mouth. She talks and talks and talks.

Susie: Like I said, I talk to much.

Probst: So if Susie can learn when to talk and when not to talk and if she can find the right people to align with she could go deep in this game. If she doesn't find the right alliance she's out early based on just being annoying. (Early boot)

Paloma is definitely somebody that I'm on the fence about. I saw her in casting, she was great. I see her right before the show, not so sure. This show can be overwhelming especially for the younger person who doesn't have big time life experiences even though Paloma has done a lot in her life, she's not done anything like Survivor. (UTR princess. How far she goes depends on how dominant her tribe is)

Randy, never had anybody like Randy on the show before. Never. The guy is funny. He has a big mouth. He talks all the time. I hope he keeps talking because he's funny as can be.

Randy: If I feel like telling somebody to go to hell, I do and the consequences aren't that big of a deal.

Probst: But Randy can irritate people. He annoyed me just in casting and I like him. Do I want to be on a camping trip with him for 39 days? Hell no. Randy, shut up. (Early boot - thank God!)

Bob is definitely a favorite. I think he's the oldest guy out here. He's been a teacher for 20 years so he's dealt with young people at that point in their life where they're very sure of themselves. But I think Bob will have a good idea of how to relate to the younger people on this show. I think he'll do okay. If Bob becomes a liability in challenge simply do to his age or physical limitations he'll be gone. (This years Yau manish guy. He's moved up but how far up can he be on that tribe? maybe mid Jurist if Kota dominates)

Matty is one of my favorites. Matty is another original. The guy is left, right, up, down, sideways, flipped around. He's got ideas but he's willing to listen. He's kind of crazy but sometimes he's brilliant. Matty is a guy that's got to last. He's too fun. I think people are going to really like Matty. I think the thing about Matty that is the most charming is that he is real. He doesn't know enough to put on an air. He just answers, whatever he's thinking and that's incredibly charming and likeable. (early jurist, boring young guy)

I'm excited about Gabon. I wasn't sure until I got here. The combination of high def and what has happened in the first few days between the two tribes, big stories are brewing. If we get a little bit of luck, a few hidden immunity idols come into play, we've got a nice twist over on Exile Island, I think we might have a third good season in a row ( I hope we can edit the begezus out of it so it doesn't really suck)
