I've said mark from the very beginning, even though I'm certainly dead wrong at this point. Dang.
Really looks like Craig.
The only thing that points to Nicole is her obvious Molish behavior, and her final statement before taking the quiz 'It ends here tonight, on to the next adventure', which is something only the Mole would say, knowing her term is up.
Hang in there, Colonel. Craig is not close to the "slam dunk" you think he is. The Widget clues are more likely pointing to the Winner and not
the Mole. Most of the time, they seem to point to groups of people and not any specific individual. If they were pointing solely at the Mole, then I doubt that
would be the intent behind them.
Also, with this strange sound in ep9 that seems to be the words "Craig buried Paul", we see this more accurately indicates Craig as a player for this
reason:
Paul told us a few times throughout the show that he was convinced "Craig was the Mole". But, If that was NOT the case, and Craig
was NOT the mole, then his molishness was so convincing to Paul that it ultimately got him "buried." because he was quizzing toward
the wrong person as the Mole.
Of course, many of you may say there is the possibility that everyone else knows that Craig is the Mole and Paul just got the slowest time. However, if each of
the players have targeted the Mole, then the Mole's actions no longer mean anything. It comes down to the quiz taking abilities of each player. The Mole
has been effectively neutralized and all that is left is for the players to "bury" each other. The fastest (and most correct) test taker is
ultimately the one in command and the one with the power over the other players.
Therefore, the Mole has "gotten" no one. In fact, just the opposite has happened. The Mole is powerless to affect anyone (or bury them) when everyone has deduced their identity.
If Paul was buried by Craig even though Paul knew he was the Mole (which Paul states), then that would mean Nicole and Mark had to also know Craig was the Mole and Paul got the slowest (or lowest) score. But that would then render the "Craig buried Paul" clue inaccurate for the above reason.
Craig could only bury another player if he was a player himself.
