here's my theory on why ratings have gone down (and obviously i think they have to do the OPPOSITE to improve ratings).
1. most obviously - stop casting aspiring actors/actresses
2. survivor now focuses way way too much on challenges as opposed to relationships and the individuals. i would estimate 15-20 minutes is taken up by challenges. that is not why most survivor die-hards love the show....it's because of the relationship buidling and the strategy and the thinking involved. so they should focus more on the cast!! (which shouldn't be actors)
