I was there 3 months ago, and I went to Paris, Lyon and the Cote d'Azur.
If your in Paris I definitely recommend you to stay in the Latin Quarter, it has a lot of character with a variety of restaurants/bars/clubs and its pretty close to a lot things like Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Rue de St Georges and the Pompidou (which I also advise you to see if you like modern and contemporary art). The Eiffel Tower is extremely overrated and cheesy...only do it for the sake of saying you've been there.
If you have time then venture down to the Riviera (Cote d'Azur) and stay in Nice, its the city to be there. You can easily take a day trip to Cannes and Monaco which is like, 20 minutes away each way from the city.
