Covert Bailey is my fitness guru. I never really followed the science of it, just his suggestions, and it works for me (when I stick to it). No more than 45
minutes every other day of aerobic exercise where you can carry on a conversation without huffing and puffing every second word. Any more than 45 minutes
actually works against weight loss. On the off days, I do muscle workout. Just got back into it because the gut seems to come on quicker than it did 10 years
ago.
I try to eliminate "white death" where possible. Simple carbs like sugar and white flour. Anything white is usually bad for you. Lots more fiber. A fitness nut friend of mine told me that drinking Metamucil before eating makes you eat less and the fiber absorbs a lot of the fat, and it also pushes the food through your system faster so that your body doesn't have forever to extract every single calorie and fat molecule that it normally does. A business client told me she doesn't eat after 7pm, so I've incorporated that as well. All this really makes the weight come off fast.
Once I get my heavy bag, I'm coming after you all*.
