Put the boss/co-workers on "limited" profile. You can restrict them from seeing your wall, your photos and any other stuff you don't want them seeing. That way you don't have to sanitize anything and you haven't offended the boss.

It's fairly easy to appear respectable in your limited profile while your extended profile shows the real you.
