Not only is Jurassic Park one of my favorite movies of all time, but the book is also one of my favorite novels of all time. I remember watching the film on
some cable channel and seeing the early trailer for the sequel and being so fucking excited at the prospect of another JP movie. Of course, neither 2 nor 3
were anywhere near as good as the first, but they were enough to keep my interest in the series. And then when I read the two books (again, with a far inferior
sequel), I just had to pick up everything Crichton had written up to that date, because I was so damn impressed.
I still love Crichton, Jurassic Park is still an amazing movie, and I still wish Hammond had been killed off like he was in the book (his character was a million more times interesting in the novel, and that's with Crichton's reputation for poor character development).
