We had a prisoner on our floor the other day. He was fixed up and ready to be released back to prison (where he would go to the sick bay) and all he could do was whine about the fact that he won't get "this level of care" at the prison.

No kidding dude. That's why they call it prison.

And frankly, about paying for prisoners healthcare, I really don't get it. I mean, in my mind, if someone has a heart attack and dies, then they die of natural causes. Why should they get bypass surgery, which is basically extraordinary care, to save their useless and pathetic lives?

I mean, I could see giving them antibiotics if they get pneumonia or something like that, but all this surgery and crap goes way too far. And let me tell you, when it's time to release these guys back to prison they start complaining of something like chest pain to delay their return to prison. They definitely know how to manipulate and play the system.

There is one nurse on our floor, who will even give the prisoners back rubs to relax them when they are in the hospital. I'm like, "dude, I'm not touching those people."
