I thought Ben's apology to Locke was significant too. Ben must have been somehow responsible for all of Locke's misery throughout his life. But how was Locke to know that & why did Ben bother apologizing? I suppose it might have been only to ease his own conscious but Ben hasn't shown much of a conscious so far. (Except when Alex died.)
Locke wouldn't know it, yet. Now that Locke is in the Ben Chair, and may be able to go to/from the island with Richard's instruction, he may
figure out all sorts of interesting things from the past -- especially with Richard as a player in Locke's childhood. I'm thinking that Ben would
apologize because Ben may need Locke (even with FF coffin scene in mind) to get back to the island. Could also be an apology out of respect now that Locke
hears Jacob.

Was totally hit by the same line when i watched it...i even made a post about it earlier in this thread? Thanks, Phantom, and sorry for the oversight. Prolly didn't do my due diligence on former post reading before I jumped in and shot off my big mouth. Glad you heard it too, though! Thanks for your comments on it. I agree.
And yeah, about Widmore turning the wheel before. It explains alot of his actions.
Which brings me to Charlotte. Is she a little Widmore, but unknown to Charles Widmore? Does she have a connection to him?
